Andrew Rossa [cakewalk] is scratching his head because he has no idea how to move this thread to FxPansions forum.

Wow, I just looked at the Fxpansion brief on the cymbals deal and what a deal.

21 cymbals for £50.00

How am I going to persuade her that this is a necessary purchase (having just paid £2K for my new DAW)

Lie through your teeth Bristol, it's the honourable thing to do I'm told

Steve, I only JUST sneaked the z3ta + 2 in through the back door.

I'm on dangerous ground I tell ya!

Dangerous ground perhaps Bristol, but lets not forget that BFD2 is hallowed turf

Big + to Danny.
I'm afraid I was becoming a little impatient with Mr Bob. I don't like to assume that some people here are completely
new to computers let alone music software but Bobs comments on file size left me thinking he most probably was.
It's just that I know some people understandably feel patronised when we do make those assumptions.
I'm absolutely 100% with Danny (in case some hadn't noticed) in his suggestions that BFD2 is in a class of it's own
and the most realistic drum software on the market.
There's an interesting interview with fxpansions creator Angus Hewlett about the company, BFD2 and future
development.
I saw on youtube last year another interview in which Angus and his colleagues proudly claimed that BFD2 was the only drum product that had been used on hit records where they had replaced the original drums but they weren't at liberty to say as the original drummers had not been told.

How ever did a topic on Sonars sound quality get to be about drums?

Steve
For those who have followed the thread from start it is easy to see why.

If you will go back 20 some odd pages, you will see that Sonar is ideal for Motown.
MoTown had some killer beats.
Therefore, this thread is still on topic and related to Sonar. That is why it has not
been moved or locked.

While we're paying homage to wives, I must say mine is incredible. Yesterday she didn't bat an eyelid while I converted our lounge into a live drum room. She even went and watched Corrie, Eastenders, Emmerdale and all the other soaps in the kitchen.

I'm normally banished to our utility room for drums which is a bit of a squeeze. She also got me a track day voucher for my birthday. The only thing she could have got me that would be better than that would be the A&H GSR-24.

It might have taken me 3 goes to find her but she's a diamond.....

(That good enough dear, now about that GSR-24)

And that my brother...is why I am not, and probably never will be married or spoken for. :) It kinda sucks because I am a good guy...but I just have this thing about me to where I feel a weakness if I ever have to ask or bargain about something I want. My last girl and I shared a checking account, savings account etc. It was like we were married. But the deal was, as long as we're paying our bills and surviving comfortably, she could take whatever she wanted out of there and so could I regardless of who made more or put more in. Needless to say, she's my ex because she cleaned me out, married my best friend and lives somewhere in Mexico.

Sike, I'm kidding. :) I'm such a stickler for what is mine, I got them signing pre-nupts just for dating. LOL! Look on the bright side Jonesey, at least ya got a good girl for as long as God allows it. Me, I got good gear and lots of fun toys that never love me back. One day I'm gonna be old and alone....what do ya call a man that never marries....a woman is a spinster right...well, whatever the man is...that will be me. Hahaha! All by choice of course. I weighed the options one day....good girl, toys, good girl...toys....mmm had a good girl...broken heart...worst feeling in the world...that settles it...he who dies with the most toys wins! I've not looked back since. :)

I think I married her sister! My wife used to encourage me to tour! She also suggested we move my little daughter's room to a room upstairs and co-opt her room for a permanent drum room.  I am so afraid she's gonna wake up and throw the whole shabang out the window.  Maybe when she hears me tracking drums!!

We'll not risk another frontal assault-that rabbit's dynamite!!!

It would make you Cliff Richard, Danny.

I wish! Did you know he's like one of the biggest stars of all time in the UK? I found that out a few years back and never knew he was that huge. It's funny...over the years I would search on an artist and you find out all the other tunes they'd done that you didn't know they did. He was one of those for me. Quite a few of his tunes were faves of mine when I was a kid. I wonder if he blew all the money? Then again...in those days, they always got way less.

I just saw something on the Van Halen website...they talk about what they were making in 78 when they got their deal and were touring etc. We all thought they were mega stars...Eddie said they were making $83 per man per week! And today, their producer Ted Templeman makes more on their albums than they do due to the point system.

Sorry, didn't mean to derail the thread...wait, yes I did. :)
