this a great idea. Maybe we can get some of anderton's tips  talked about and shown in real world

Like what? Very curious!

Are these plugs truly brand new, built from scratch? Or were they built from the foundation of the current LP plugs? Just curious. It is not bad either way, I am just a nerd that like to know these things.

Thank you Cakewalk.

I found this very useful. I've been wondering what's the best way to check for (and fix) phase problems in Sonar. This clears things up. Thanks bakers!

Just wondering. How do people feel about the length of the video? Is it too long? Would it be helpful to break this up into smaller chunks? Please let us know.

I thought it was a little long, but watchable. I am glad that Cakewalk is doing them. They provide good ideas. I would not break it into parts, but might try to tighten them up.

There's always a trade off between being brief and accessible and being useful. But I think the internet is already over-burned with quick and facile mix tricks videos. And I particularly liked the one about the new LP plug ins; making that shorter could only have made it less useful. When there's a lot to cover, there's a lot to cover.

The only reason the length is a little long is related to the banter towards the beginning.  This is to be expected in a non-edited "flow" of a demonstration where it isn't scripted.  Tightening up, cutting out some of the non-fundamental parts would make it more accessible for quick consumption (discussion of the kick, console, outboard gear could be trimmed down for example).  But there was certainly value in the video, and was absolutely worth my time sitting through them.

I watched all of Episode 3 + 4

The Landar one I didn't have the interest to sit though, though it was certainly interesting that the guy works an almost full time gig for Belew

Melda Productions MAutoAlign. I use this all the time to resolve phase issues.

As long as we can set the speed to more than 1x, I don't have length concerns.

For a hobbyist (non-pro) user like myself, these kinds of things are very helpful!  I had no idea how complex the field of audio engineering is even though I program and administer computers (SQL Server DBA) for a living.  The only thing I can liken my first few times in SONAR with is when I was in the Air Force working as an avionics technician and I first hit the cockpit of a KC-10a (DC-10 variant) with all the dials, switches, knobs and levers.  I thought to myself, "I'll never learn all of this".  Of course I did eventually learn all, and so it is with SONAR now, thanks in part to these and other Cakewalk videos walking me through things.  Thanks folks!

Just watched all five TH3 vids...   very nice!   Having just started playing with some of the presets, I now feel much more comfortable with what's available.   Something tells me I'm going to like TH3 a lot.

I hope the focus will remain on Sonar. So many features remain unused or unknown, even to experienced users. Let Overloud advertise TH3. Just sayin'.

Loving these videos!

But one question... why the heck on the console view isn't the gain knob at the very top, allowing 6-8 vst positions like every other daw console view? Often wondered this

That's what I'm talking about! In post #108 I asked for more on Sonar features and you delivered. Just keep working through the entire DAW. I have a void that used to be filled by the Sonar Power books that Scott G. used to publish. The new business model has made those in-depth guides impractical, so vids like this are required.

I never realised that there was a curve with asymmetrical Q until today. Without the video I may never have realised it. Good job guys.

Great Job on the vids guys! I agree with others that focusing on a single feature in Sonar is an excellent approach.  I like that they are longer than just a basic overvew;  the mastering fx video and the quadcurve video really give a complete understanding of all functions.

Hybrid mode in the qadcurve has long been my goto starting point for track EQ. Now I know exactly why:)

Kudos too on having the casual, entertaining conversational presentation style sorted. It really comes accross well. You guys are a fast learn;)
