Glyn Barnes Bump. - Looking at some of the questions coming up recently it may help if this is easier to find. One important update - Toontrack now has beta 64 bit versions of EZDrummer and Superior Drummer. Hey Glyn, Glad to see you keeping this great thread alive. Great news on the Toontrack stuff. I don't personally use it, but I know alot of people here do, and it's great to see another snowball roll down the 64 bit mountain. Keep it up and don't forget to stop and make some music.

What version of Echoboy are you using - and do automation envelopes work? None of the Soundtoys Native suite supports automation in Sonar x64. If you're lucky you might be able to get Echoboy to support it over Jbridge, if the interface doesn't fall over first. I reported this to them in August last year and they have decided to do nothing about it. They'd rather hype up more vapourware than fix existing problems.

Hi All, Regarding Submersible's DrumCore 3 FREE on SONAR 8.5.3 64 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64: I like DrumCore and I'm thinking of upgrading to the full version but I find that I cannot drag audio or midi loops into the clips pane - can't find the file - is this normal? I have assigned jBridge which has enabled DrumCore to work at all but the only way to record from it seems to be to live bounce, which doesn't seem right. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks to All.

Midi clips can be dragged out of KitCore for sure, I have Drumcore free installed but I am not sure if I tested it, I am travelling so I can check at the moment. I am running Vista 64 so that may make a difference. If there is a problem with MIDI Unfortunatly you cannot use media browser as an alternative as the files are in a propriatory format. When you say "can't find the file", is that an error message you get when you try to drag and drop, or can't you find the files and display them in the preview pane. If it's the latter it's not normal, but I have seen other reports that that happens.

While I am here I will just add that Amplitude 3 seems to work well using Bitbridge. Make sure you have the latest patches as they address issues specific to Sonar

Sample Tank 2.5 works fine using Bitbridge. I did have a crash when I tried to use it with JBridge. This could have been caused by something else as I did not persevere, I just went back to bit bridge.

I don't have Classic Studio Reverb so I can't comment except to say that the BitBridge in Sonar 8.5 was reworked and supports many more plugins that it did in 8.3. (for me, this was the no 1 reason for upgrading). So its possible that it works in 8.5 but not 8.3. Also, have you tried using JBridge? If you don't have it, it may be worth trying the demo and see if it helps.

CSR works great for me and it gets used pretty heavily. I'm on SONAR 8.5.3 x64 running on Win7 x64.

These are plugins that I run regularly and without issue in x64. They either have a fully native x64 version or work properly under BitBridge 2.0. All UAD Plugs All the Ohmforce stuff (Ohmboyz, Frohmage, etc) NI Komplete 6 (x64 versions) IK Classic Studio Reverb IK Amp sims (2, Hendrix, SVX, etc) G-Media M-Tron 2 Kjaerhus Classic Series (free) TruePianos (full x64 version) Spectrasonics Trilogy East West StormDrum, Bosendorfer, and EWQLSO There's also lots of little things like Chameleon, Glitch, the dfx stuff, delaylama, Orca, CM101, etc...all work great. I've actually found very little that won't work under BitBridge 2.0

Mine encompasses this century, but I'm not sure that Soundtoys share that level urgency. BTW Camelspace has been working over here in Bitbridge since Sonar 7. Maybe you need to set it as a tempo based effect in plugin manager.

Regarding DrumCore3, I have upgraded to the full product and initial behaviour was great, dragging and dropping audio and midi etc., until I tried to save the file: Sonar crashed and I lost my whole session. This happened repeatedly, even if I just opened a file, inserted the soft synth and then immediately tried to save without doing anything else. Then I assigned jBridge and all has been fine and I can get on with creating - and saving - drum tracks. But I hope that the new owners of DrumCore will develop proper 64-bit compatibility - they haven't said they will yet...

You all have forgotten the rule of 96. All Cake hard wear runs at 44.1. In order to run 96 you gots to let your bit bridge jump into the river. The muddy river. The bit bridge will always reset to 32 when you play back. So was it ever really there at all or was it just split and dueled out as the Boston Massacree. The British used 2 bullets per barrel and what was called an Indian or light charge of powder. They also used a special lubricant that allowed for deviant flight patterns. This allowed for 2 kills with 1 shot. If you go 96 you never come back. With 64 your out the door to return no more. Ozone makes 64 the way it is suppose to be. Then you can sleep well after your dirty deed done dirt cheap.
