I have debated with myself whether or not to participate in this thread. I have decided to say this and nothing more. I will do my very best to serve the forums as best I can. I will not try to control it in any way that is not part of being a host. I am personally against censorship and I wont censor opinions even if they are directed at me. In my view the forums have, on their own, done things well. To me, we the hosts, are here to serve and help. We are not here to push members around or cause further conflict.
I believe that a very light touch and a near appearance of absence will serve these forums better than any other approach. I will remove spam whenever I see it if that is one of my duties. I will try hard not to interfere with ongoing threads that maybe "hot" but don't violate the TOS as it will be rewritten.
I will be here to help and greet and make people feel at home. Right now I am not completely sure what I am going to be required to do, fully. These forums have done well all these years without us and I don't think you will see that anything has changed.
If any of you think what I have said is unacceptable please PM me with your objections. I will not post any more in this thread.

I just wanted to say, which answer's Steve's questions above, that YES, I feel I can work with you. unashamedly, and without reservation. you and I have had "issues" in the past, but that is IN THE PAST. I think you are an asset to cake's forums. you have been helpful and resourceful. we've had differences of opinions before regarding the Coffee house (as evident by Steve's "timely bump") but I do not hold any animosity toward you and will not let it affect our working relationship in the forum hosts committee or if we are both chosen as forum hosts in the live release. as long as we can have mutual respect for each other, I welcome our new working relationship.
