I can handle it pretty good, most times. :) The only thing is, I wish Mr. B and strat would come on a little earlier. They always pop in just as I'm ready to go to bed and then I'm up till 3am sparring with them. HEHE! Gotta go ... have a good one.

Bub Wait a minute! What am I doing? I can't stand cats! Vile little scratching, biting, shedding, smelly little varmints that they are. I much prefer dogs. You know, something manly that eats it's own poop and puke. That's the damn cat from Shrek, right? I'm so sick of those animated animals! I'm sick of animation! for children... Give me Metalocalypse any day! ;) Does the TOS say anything about hating animated cats? I really do these days...

"Sheesh -- this forum has truly gone downhill and I'm kind of glad I don't involve myself around here so much these days." I have to be honest with you BA, i very rarely come on the forum these days either, and sadly 10Ten has a lot to do with that. I remember when i first bought Sonar i loved the forum, lots of helpful people and useful information, now its just unreal. I have pretty much given it up as a bad job, this is the first time I have been on in a month, and this is the first thread i read. Whoa. Bye bye for another month or two G

Bub FastBikerBoy Good to see this thread has followed the 2 page rule, or did it even get that far? Hey! In my own defense, I was attacked, and since there seems to be no authoritative intervention around here lately, I had to defend myself. Bub, what the heck do you mean you were attacked? It's abominable the way some of you try to cry the victim when you're actually closer to being the villain. Here's the deal, Bub: You posted a false comment here in which you actually attacked Cakewalk by spreading misinformation. In a post in this thread you accused Cakewalk of a questionable business practice of making customers pay for updates. You posted that Seth "...was making comments about paid updates?" That is something that is false. Cakewalk never said that customers would have to pay for any updates. It's a case of you misconstruing Seth's comment, and a case of you putting words in his mouth. I asked you to post a quote of the comment made by Seth that demononstrates Cakewalk "...was making comments about paid updates?" Yet, you are unable to do it. Because I told you to prove this misinformation, you say I'm attacking you. Bud, you have joined the ranks of 10Ten. Whenever someone points out your meanness in a post you make, you go crying that the pointing out of your meaness is an attack on you. In this case you spreading misinformation about Cakewalk. Bud, I gave you the chance to prove you're better than this, but instead, you start making out like you are the victim. Acting just like 10Ten. It's a dog on shame. I know how to deal with you from now on.

HumbleNoise I have to applaud the Cakewalk personnel for their apparent 'anything goes' attitude regarding this forum but I'm not sure that's the purpose or intention regarding same. Or is it? If it is, then the question within this thread is moot. If it's not then where are the limits? When the forums were created was the purpose to allow anyone to say anything? Certainly not, but again, where are the limits? Is there a policy statement in the stickied section where I would expect to find one? Do we need more moderation for the few who will not control themselves? Or is it better to let everything fly and see what sticks to the wall? I read a thread from another forum where a user was asked to take a break simply because they were rude, unfriendly, and not helpful. The post from the moderator had a really refreshing feel to it. No real drama just a, "Hey you're not here to ask an honest question nor are you here to help, come back when you are." For me personally I see no reason why an enforceable forum policy can't be created but I also see why no one would want to spend the resources needed enforcing such an idea. Any thoughts? If the job pays $200K per year and I only have to work an hour or two a day, I'll do it.

Fixed Steve, Although I normally enjoy reading your posts, the I found the depiction of animal cruelty to be deeply distressing. This is not the least bit funny. Sadly, incidents like this happen in real life. The pain of putting a live animal in a microwave oven is unimaginable. I do hope you'll consider the sensitivities of some of your fellow forum members in future before posting another image like this.

Hi guys! Nothing good can come of a thread that has exceeded two pages, so allow me to bring a little levity to this one, if only for a moment. This is meant to be humorous and thought provoking, so don't anybody go getting their panties in a bunch! Please forward your complaints to Ceiling Cat! It's not that this thread should not be taken seriously; I'm not saying that at all. I just think we are all guilty of taking ourselves too seriously. I have observed that this often seems to happen sometime between page 3 and page 4. The slippery slope begins right about the same time that multiple posters feel the uncontrollable urge to poste more than a couple times, usually in a quote /quote frenzy. Yep, guilty as charged! But I've found a way out! Oh by the way, "the ignore button" works great. Go ahead, "ignore" the two to five most annoying posters here. Even if one of them is me, I'll bet you'll breathe a lot easier and smile a lot more. I did it and I like it, whoohoo! It occurred to me that this may be because I no longer feel the need to justify myself to the lowest common denominator. Hence, I no longer need to take myself so seriously either, haha! It's liberating. I wonder if Cakewalk has considered a "voluntary ignore me" button as a new forum feature. Think about it, we could just pre-ignore ourselves on behalf of all the other posters and readers here. What a great, time saving act of kindness we could all do! Another alternative is the drive-by posting. To implement this technique, one would post once to a thread and never come back. I'm not suggesting that you say something mean or evil; that would be trolling. But let's face it, if you have said your piece and you've already decided that you are right (and you know you already have or you wouldn't have posted your post, would you?)...well then, why bother coming back later? Are you hungry for approval from others? If you are, you'll just be disappointed! Are you looking to be told you're wrong by Ten or that "composer" guy? Of course not. Besides, your wife, mother, and your kids already do a great job of identifying your weaknesses, and as a bonus, they do it in person! So then if you're not coming back, there's no reason to read the ensuing posts, correct? And if you're not going to read any ensuing posts, then there's no reason to actually post.... It sounds like circular logic, but suddenly I find myself hardly here and doing all sorts of useful things! Who would've thunk it! Okay, I leave you now to your future 12-page thread. Remember the #1 rule. Have fun!

No, you're not going after anyone. No, you're not being hostile. It's ok for you to randomly show up in a thread, write 3 paragraphs telling someone off and they aren't supposed to take that as being attacked? Hmmm. Maybe I don't consider you being in the jungle 19 months as being attacked either. You're a nut job stratman. So is Barnes. And you both have been blocked. This is done.
