I just pulled forward the color sets from X1->Platinum into one color (.clr) file with each preset included. I also took the X2 default set and reversed the order of the waveform colors to the background and made all of the foregrounds black, then called this "X2 Custom"
My current settings look like this:
I exported this set and posted it
here (117KB file), but unfortunately opens as a text file. If you wish to simply load these sets, copy that links contents (the text - Ctrl-A, then Ctrl-C) into Notepad (Ctrl-V) and save it with a name of your choice, using the default "txt" suffix. Once saved, right click the file, choose "rename" and replace the "txt" suffix with "
clr"
EDIT: You can actually right click that link and choose "Save Target As..." to save time. From there, open Platinum to the preferences page above and click "Import Colors" in the upper right. Navigate to that clr file and click okay. (Can click "No" to loading pre-existing ones; I forget which presets were already in Platinum, so no need to overwrite them).
In order to edit the background colors further, you would actually need to modify them inside X1 or X2. You can export and import color settings (including all presets if choose during export), so can work on this set in X2, save a preset, and offload that preset for import back into SONAR 2015. The X2 Custom is probably the best preset to start with for personal tailoring.
FYI - the color files from X1/X2 have entries missing from X3/SONAR 2015, specifically:
"Tracks 1, 11, 21... Background=3026478
Tracks 2, 12, 22... Background=3026478
Tracks 3, 13, 23... Background=3026478
Tracks 4, 14, 24... Background=3026478
Tracks 5, 15, 25... Background=3026478
Tracks 6, 16, 26... Background=3026478
Tracks 7, 17, 27... Background=3026478
Tracks 8, 18, 28... Background=3026478
Tracks 9, 19, 29... Background=3026478
Tracks 10, 20, 30... Background=3026478"
X3 and Platinum recognize these, but they are not editable in preferences as mentioned above. Playing in the registry will not enable the ability to edit backgrounds, as it appears to be coded in the preference GUI.
