OK, thought about it a bit - I would really like full color customization, or at least more than is currently available without having to use mods.

I already voted for gapless but someday in the future, voice control would be great. "Computer, copy track 1 with content to new track named guitar solo 2 and drop the track by one octave." "Computer, bring down bass by 2 db and bring lead vocal up by 3 db. Add 4 db at 10KHZ to acoustic guitar track." "Computer, export entire project as 24 bit wave file, no fast bounce, no dithering." Just sayin' Rimshot

Gapless audio engine woulb be SO nice.... after that it would be better management of multiple takes, as in the ability to have let's say 8 tracks for a full drum set, where you can select a different take on all 8 at the same time with one mechanism...

And my votes are: - GUI customization............................................+1 this includes ability to switch off extra column in Inspector View, the next level of inputs/outputs or whatever it is. StudioOne has a better solution. I want effectbin clearly visible in TrackView for what effects are loaded And everything about colors like in S8. - Staff View Improvements..............................+1 It's really cool ability to quickly select different midi tracks and print out the score for vocals, bass, brass, guitar, keyboard or whatever need - one or many together. Usable to prepare for musicians arriving to make recordings. Make things easier to prepare score for different mutant instruments that are written different ways - thinking of different brass and bass instruments that I know have note in different lines in score ie how is a Bb Trumpet drawn. It's a mystery Cake did not put more effort on this. - Extend/change CAL programming language .............................+1 It's really strange syntax for this language so best to switch to modern scripting and really extend possibilites. I've been a programmer for almost 30 years and have difficulty with this syntax. Really odd. It's one of the really cool features of Sonar as I see it. There is so much more to do with this. - Gapless Audio Engine....................................couldn't care less - VST3 Support.................................................+0.5 good for future X3 or X2D, no hurry

this includes ability to switch off extra column in Inspector View, the next level of inputs/outputs or whatever it is You can already do that. Grab the edge of the inspector window to the right of the bus track column and drag it left. Result is single column inspector. It will widen again when viewing the PC but also re-narrows on closing it. Better still is it is screenset dependant so you can have it dual width in some and narrow in others. HTH.

Gapless / audio engine update/v-vocal/step recording improvements. Hmm, never understood why people want to make a video editor for example out of Sonar. There's plenty of software specialized with 15 + years of code to support it. When the development team focuses on changing the DAW into a swiss army knife, the fundamental features suffer and get half baked. Id rather see improvements to make better music with our music software. Best,

A giant lead for gapless! I wonder if that means people are generally very happy with SONAR and just want that ekstra bit of polish? I'm putting people who're listing several improvements down for the first one they mention. New rule: Any new kategories (eksept the ones I've already added) will need more than 2 mentions to qualify. Otherwise they go in the "other" boks.

Hi Scott Lee (ASCAP). I assuming you're referring to me, since I'm the only person who mentioned video. I didn't say anything about video editing features, which are entirely spurious. What I'd like is an improvement in the ability to score to video.
