IMHO this is as good as it gets for free. CamStudio

CamStudio is indeed great software.  PLEASE NOTE that the installer you download from the above link for CamStudio actually is a bundled install, meaning it contains installation scripts for additional programs, and I URGE you to be very very careful about what you are accepting when you run the install program.

I found that there were multiple additional programs carefully included to appear that they were part of the CamStudio install, but were instead agreements that if I would have accepted would have installed several undesirable programs - browsers, ad ware, and that sort of thing.

I DID complete the install process, BUT I clicked Decline for the user agreements for these other programs.  PLEASE be careful when running the installer _ you will see what I mean if you look carefully.

Sorry for the caps above - done for emphasis, and not for any sort of anger. :)

Can anyone else try Bandicam, and pop up a short video demo on youtube
and see what is working and not .. ?

It is only when i select win 8.1 sound (wasapi )
in Bandicam audio setting
i will have windows sound

if i select my steinberg line Ci1 i will have no sound.

I can still not record any audio from my DAW, Sonar do not route the audio to windows !
then no sound...

Edit : Video clip's removed

Can anyone explain me this or have a solution, (almost same post as above )...... but i need all of your help

Maybe Cakewalk can come up with a great idea and a simple tool for use in Sonar, at least it is time for it.

There's a solution now
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The VB Audio VoiceMeeter is needed to record the DAW audio
with more or less any Screen Recording Software.

It took me almost 2 days to find a working solution, hopefully this will help others.

Bandicam freeware or buy
* VB Audio VoiceMeeter Donationware,  ( Banana ) is the Pro version 20-50 euro.

For nvidia users there is also Shadowplay which is used for screen recording videogames usually. There is also Raptr which is also designed with gamers in mind. Both are pretty solid choices because people who record and stream videogames tend to demand high quality without using a ton of space because they more often than not end up on Twitch or Youtube.

FYI there's one thing i have noticed when viewing youtube is :

Browsers uses 10 seconds to reach full clarity / detail on the video.
Internet explorer may sometime beat Chrome with 5 sec.

I don't know why.....

Probably due to default low resolution video loading before the system detects higher speed internet and change to HD mode. You can also select HD before playing the video.

Sorry - I'm late to the party. Glad you found Voicemeeter (/Banana) it(/they) rock.
I use it as my default sound in/out.

Some previous discussion
here ... and here ... and here.

My (near free) solution was (cut/pasted from previous post):

I use Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 SP2. From memory I think it includes the Screen Capture Codec, otherwise download here. Don't worry about things you might see/read about 10 minute record limits - restrictions were removed with SP2. Price - FREE.

When recording a DAW, with it's audio in/outs redirected, live commentary/playback is often not picked up by screen recording software. I get around this with Voicemeeter. Price - Donationware - flick'em $20 if you find it useful and continue to use it.

... and you can use Handbrake to transcode to various formats. Price - FREE.

I've since bought (cheaply - Steam Summer Auction) and use liteCam Game: 100 FPS Game Capture - $30 full price.
It not only records desktop very well (up to 30fps) with good options ... it has a high speed game mode and can record Steam.
Other solutions at liteCam.

I've also trialled Mirillis Action which I thought highly of - also ~$30.
