CakeTV Live, Quick Bytes, Get Started, Go Deeper, and Master Classes in HD (with links)

CakeTV is now on the air!

We're pleased to announce four dedicated channels for your viewing pleasure. CakeTV will continue to expand and grow until it's an autonomous, sentient being bent on human destruction. Until then here's a rundown of what's currently showing.

First and foremost is SONAR University where you can dip your toes or dive head-first into a sea of SONAR knowledge. It's divided into three courses. Get Started will familiarize you with basic operation and Go Deeper will take you further into how certain features can be applied. When you're ready for more, the Master Class offers a comprehensive tour of SONAR's workflow as it relates to a particular aspect of music production.

The Artist Spotlight channel has the latest information on how the pro's use Cakewalk products and Backstage Pass gives a behind the scenes look at the various trade shows and events Cakewalk participates in all over the globe.

And if you've only got time for a snack, check out Quick Bytes for product promos, sneak peaks and more.

If for some reason you experience any trouble viewing CakeTV, here are direct links to the SONAR U videos on our YouTube channel.

Seth - Nice video - That explains a lot.  I didn't notice before this video that the track inspector also includes the downstream buss.  Nice feature.

    downstream buss

This alone is going to save me so much time. I usually have just as many buses as tracks.

I'm happy that the middle mouse button finally works in Sonar. Apparently from the new skylight video, clicking the middle mouse will bring up the floating smart tools. Hopefully will also be able to bind other side mouse buttons! Great news.

Seth, would I be correct in saying that only the bus compressor has side-chaining?   That's how it looks in that video.

Could you make these videos downloadable?

I have a dialup at home but am allowed the occasional download at work.

I also think other people might like to put them on their studio PCs so one can refer to them as and when needed.

Is there a reason why you don't make them available for download?

Copyright issues or something like that?

If I could know, I could give up asking.

It's really more of a hosting issue as the video files are huge. From what I've heard you can use Real Player or certain add-ons to Firefox to download streaming content.
