Are the video files really so huge? Surely youtube quality is all that's needed?

I have two 500GB drives at home, with many hundreds of TV documentary in full screen mpeg format. 500GB drives are cheap.

Well, I installed Firefox, but it just displays a black box where the video should be.

HTML5 seems to be some sort of beta program thing, you need to register as a tester.

I think I'll give up now. I'm not getting anywhere.

Hi Seth..The videos are well done but I wish there was one on session droummer 2. I am sure most of the stuff from the session drummer 3 tutorials apply but still I am having trouble.. My main issue is that when i use the step sequencer in session drummer 2 it is not picking up all the beats I am laying down...I am talking simple stuff like 4 bass drum hits an 4 snare hits at the same time????

I REALLY wish the Reference Guide could be made available as a printed version.  It would be especially useful for me with the change to X1 as I'll be wanting to do some serious studying and it's a pain doing it on a screen.  Yes, I've ordered Scott's 'Power' book but I'd also pay for a printed version of the Guide, and I'm sure a lot of others would.  How about it Brandon?

So would I..... very irritating trying to read an 1,850 page manual on a computer screen.
also, it's unsanitary to take a laptop to the crapper. when you have to go, you have to go.

I think that Cakewalk should put Seth in an Elvis Bus (a nice Prevost or Newell) and send him around the country for some hands-on master classes in major cities.   I would pay a fair price to attend.
They could dress up the outside of the bus (Sonar X1 logo and stuff) and it would serve as a advertisement as well (read:write-off).

There's just so much we don't know about X1! I hope there's some good stuff in Scott's book - I've never bought one before, have previous releases been worth it?

Another top vid Cake, thanks, keep em coming

Seth,

Your videos are excellent. So many features in X1 that you've revealed to us!

You should consider producing a complete DVD of Sonar X1 tutorials as you're obviously THE expert!! You'll sell a boatload of them for sure!

Best regards!

I use an HDTV as my "monitor", so reading it on screen is no prob for me^^

I just recline in my nice leather recliner.....chill for a bit and read. All you audiophiles with 19'' monitors hate me now, huh?^^
