Yep.  Moved Mom from the hospital to a rehab facility where she'll have to have an antibiotic given to her via IV for six weeks(!) to get rid of a nasty infection.  At least others will now be taking care of her so I can try and catch up with my work (I'm guessing I missed 20-40 posts per hour due to all this!). 

Just woke up, saw that it was still morning and got scared so I'm going to have to go back to bed until the situation improves (usually around the crack of noon).

Best wishes for your mother.  I know you won't have any trouble catching up on posts.

We're supposed to have a heat wave today and tomorrow with temperatures getting over 100 so I try to get as much sleep as I can in the mornings when it's cool enough then I can work into the night with my small A/C unit trying to help three fans keep my room manageable (during other hot nights I've had it get to 83 degrees in my bedroom/office at 11PM even with all those fans and the portable A/C chugging - still better than the hall outside my door which can reach 90 degrees...).

Yikes!  My bedroom can get a little warm, too.  But not like that.  

Although I LOVE the view, I've got five windows in my huge bedroom (that also serves as my office) with two facing south and three facing west.  The insulation in both the walls and the windows is suspect so when the sun hits those areas it REALLY heats up in here...  Tomorrow's going to be fun to survive if they're predicting 102.

Off to work..have a good day/night all.

It's nearly 1am and I'm still working.  My room is finally down to about 80 degrees F...  I need to get a little more cool air in here so I can take a nap.

Why do people;
 
a) Plant prickly feckin bushes in their gardens (berberis, holly, mahonia etc)
b) then let 'em grow too big so I have to get torn to shrebbons cutting 'em back and bagging up the prickles?

Ever consider the most obvious reasons?  They simply don't like you (or get perverse enjoyment from the pain of others)?
