Why, yes.  There is a light at the end of this sink-hole.  Unfortunately, it's likely to be fire and brimstone. 

Obviously, AC/DC hadn't heard of this place when they wrote "Hell ain't a Bad Place to Be"........

Maybe they were talking about Hell, Michigan.
