[Feedback] New Cakewalk Store
Over the past year, we've been hard at work improving the customer experience for Cakewalk customers. Along with creating even better products, we've also focused on improving the customer experience. Earlier this year, we revamped our forum and consolidated categories for easier viewing and posting. Then a few months ago, we announced a new single sign on process (SSO) that is meant to consolidate all your Cakewalk accounts, registration, and product information. Now we are pleased to announce that we'll be launching a new Cakewalk Store. The soft launch will begin tomorrow and the site will be temporarily hosted by cleverbridge.com. This will be moved over to shop.cakewalk.com later this week. The new store brings in many features that customers have asked for over the years including: - Support for more currency and payment options
- Better language translation
- Quick check out process
- More transparency on VAT charges and the ability to enter a business VAT ID
- Quicker performance and even more security features
- Using your SSO login, instant best price for upgrades and add-ons based on what you own
- And much more
We invite you to check out the store and leave us feedback on this thread about your experience. We'll work to fix any issues as fast as possible. We hope you share our enthusiasm with this much needed, and much improved store experience. In order to have the best experience on the store, please make sure you have a SSO account. It's easy to do and stores all your information in one place. Thanks, Cakewalk Edit for typos

Is there any way the password requirements for the Store can be slightly more flexible? Current requirements are quite limiting. For example, you can't start a password with a number.

BTW
* Support for more currency and payment options = Support for off world currencies. * Better language translation = So they can speak human. * More transparency on VAT charges and the ability to enter a business VAT ID = Duty free to Mars. * Quicker performance and even more security features = Firewall and weapons are being set up on moon. * And much more = Invasion. I told you...

this might be premature feedback, but I just followed the SSO link for the first time and reviewed My Products and it is a mess. in short THIS is not better than THIS that overhaul is suffering from the same gui bloat we have seen in Sonars X series in limiting the max number of tracks viewable in track view. Bigger is not better. Smarter is. Plus everything is all out of order, with product download links and serial and reg numbers on different rows, separated by other products, and just way too big

I haven't checked mine but I'm seriously impressed with the screenshots, looks great. I remember last time it took a couple of weeks to iron out all the problems (after feedback from customers) so I don't expect it to be perfect this time around either, but it will be soon (and it will have to be for X4). Cheers..

the list is over 4 times the length of the old one. and as I mentioned all in no particular order at all (edit: i think is trying to sort by date, but failing quite a bit). The store list is a nice condensed table with each products dl link and codes on the same row - and nicely sorted by date, and viewable without scrolling.

I would refrain from any My-Account/Products feedback until we publish our changes tomorrow. How it delivers products is very different and also still being tweaked.

Definitely makes sense to test a new web store in advance of a new product launch. Can you imagine otherwise? Ugh. Go Cake!

BTW, I feel the need to mention that the page we're publishing tomorrow is about 547.3% smarter. As for the bigger... in due time you'll understand the why. edit: typos :(

Totally tiny thing, but I've sometimes thought it would be cool to not have to determine which things I already own when I shop. Maybe just a mark next to the things I've already got or something. :-)
StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen. I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Fixed ;) Edit: Oh, I should probably clarify b/c we might be discussing different things. When logged in on the new store we handle upgrade pricing based on your product ownership now (versus customers having to say which upgrade path they believe they fall into).

Just to clarify, the new store will use your Cakewalk SSO Account which is also being used by the Cakewalk Forum and www.cakewalk.com. So the password management will be the same as you've been using to get into the forum lately. Looks like you can lead with a number if you wish.

Hi ,Ryan and Andrew, basically I can understand your enthusiasm fpr the sso . But I´m really a bit sceptical since my products of the "old " cakewalk store have not been transfered to the new one. I don´t want to bore you with the whole story (Ryan is informed ), but I pray that my old store account will not be deleted before all my products were transfered to the new one. Even I would have liked to get an answer about my last questions via pm about this theme, which were ignored. best regards anf good luck Pragi
