I absolutely agree - but it's funny that HD users don't see this! I also think that the "sound" of a DAW is actually more related to the workflow - in other words, if a particular DAW favours a certain style of mixing, that will surely determine the "sound" quite easily, unless the engineer actively avoids certain features that are presented in his/her face.

Thats pretty far off actually.
x64 capability has nothing to do with plugin count, it has more to do with RAM allocation.

I understand now what of waste of time it is discuss anything on these Internet forums...

I search forums to learn as much as I can about the hardware and sofware I use in my studio and I'm always amazed at how so many people feel the need to attack each other for having different opinions and different experience with the products they use. We all have different needs and have to find a way to get our ideas recorded. The I can't believe you think what you think and if you do you are an idiot mentality is what starts religious wars. By now we should respect each others right to believe what they believe, use what they use and like what they like. It all sounds like my dad can beat up your dad on a kindergarden playground. Alot of what I read sounds like it's a need to justify buying what I bought instead of what you bought and much of it from people who have never used the other product. It's all ego based argument and ego is what keeps us seperate and working against each other instead or with each other. I fully expect to be flamed for saying this and maybe it's a waste of time but if even a very small percentage of the energy that goes into attacking each other went into helping each other, think of what we could learn from each other.
On the other hand, thank you to the many posters who rather than attack each other have taken the time to share their experience. I have learned alot and I really appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge

I don't care about X vs X, it's useless.

I'm more interested in hearing what people create musically.
If you're on a forum, adding useless text to a manufacturers database, you're not making music.
Is that how you want to be known?
