Doktor Avalanche You gotta love it. I marked it helpful... http://forum.cakewalk.com/Rapture-Pro-Notes-Sticking-m3226406.aspx mettelus LOL... I am so tempted to comment on that; but alas, I am hungry, so going to eat instead.
Folks, just so everybody is clear before they click on this thread above, the guy has since edited his posts to make him look like the innocent party in all this, his original posts were extremely rude and with attitude... He has since contacted a Host who has (understandably I guess) told me to cut it with my attitude and lock the thread. So I've been set up. If you look at the post timestamps and the edit timestamps you notice he's done the edits way after my responses.... I was extremely lucky, I had a browser open with that thread before he made the edits, I have copied/pasted them and have responded to the host. I hope the host pastes the actual thread in there before he bans the a$$ off this troll... Many thanks p.s. Don't you just love the forums?

I've always thought that people who go back and edit their posts all the time are almost as bad as those who promote their own forum suicide and then try to pretend to be someone else.

LOL - someone else who equates "telling an uncomfortable truth" with "personal attack". Just out of interest CakeAlex/Splat/Doktor, what exactly did Paulo say that isn't actually true? And how can pointing out the facts concerning your recent meltdown and forum suicide possibly be construed as any form of attack? Other than, as we are all aware, the truth does indeed sometimes hurt.

Comparing trolling behaviour with a change in avatar is uncalled for Steve. If I changed my avatar to troll people or to double up my points with duel personalities I understand. But I didn't... I've always tried to play by the rules and be helpful (whilst sure, being opinionated). Sure then I had a bit of a breakdown and I had enough. To be honest it's this sort of behaviour that I find stressful that causes these sort of issues. I guess I will continue to be punished, and I guess I will always have the past baggage thrown at me ... maybe time for another name change. First I'm being trolled, now I'm being cross examined as though this trolling is my fault.. The LOL thing makes it appear you find it all extremely amusing, at my end it's not fun I'm glad you are having your laughs. Thankyou.

Evidently a bit of compassion for another human being is sorely missing. To continue to pester someone with what you perceive as their shortcomings is not in my opinion a good way to show compassion. The universe forbid you should suffer a similar fate someday. Nameste!

I wish I could say that about my troll thread not been dealt with yet, and I can't even comment on it because it's locked. Ah well I guess it's bank holiday and people have better things to do of course. And on top of that I had to post on the other thread about the problem reporter communication disconnect which wasn't a fun topic either having to lay down all the facts in the hope I get a reasonable acknowledgement about communication breakdown.I really didn't enjoy that one either. Yey what a great day. Seem to be getting more of them.

Tom, in all fairness, it might serve you better should you decide to acquaint yourself with all the facts before surmising that Alex is the victim here. We are talking here about a chap who was, until recently, an incompetent and unjust forum host who once issued me with a "final warning" for daring to post an honest, heartfelt opinion with which he disagreed. He misused his position of authority over me to effectively silence any view which ran contrary to his personal agenda. I concede I may have overstated my case on occasion, but I said nothing that wasn't the truth. The " LOL" he objects to wasn't meant to convey mockery, neither did I find the post I quoted all that amusing. Rather I was enjoying the delicious irony of a person who once seemed to thoroughly enjoy dishing out all manner of castigation and warning when he was a host not being particularly comfortable when on the receiving end of such attention. Indeed, when he recently attracted a reprimand for his behaviour from a number of his former co-hosts, he metaphorically squealed like a stuck pig for a while before committing one of the most embarrassing and messy forum suicides I've ever had the misfortune to witness. What I believe Paulo was alluding to was Alex's rather pointless 'suicide', seeing as while the ink was still wet on his various suicide notes as CakeAlexS/Splat, he was already posting again supposedly as a new forum member, namely Doktor Avalanche. It's not for me to judge his behaviour, other than to point out the absurdity of his actions and the hypocrisy of his whining now the boot happens to be on the other foot. The sad thing is we'll never get to know the 'real' Alex, just a manifest caricature of his various personality traits and mood swings.

Thanks Steve.. Let's turn this into yet another judgement day for Alex. Over and over and over and over and over again. As usual always on about the past you never ever seem to forget. Those arguements have already been made and discussed to death in their respective threads, yet you seem to bring em up over and over and over again, not just with me but with others as well. You seem to forget I'm no longer a host. Please give it a break. What the h3ll my trolling episode has got to do with my 'forum suicide' or previous host activities is beyond me. Is this your idea of entertainment, revenge or just some sort of vendetta?

Its foolish to consider the same behaviour repeated will bring about a different outcome. I made a donkey of myself a few weeks back in the Coffee house. I threatened and blustered and demanded all sorts of things including an apology for a perceived slight. It didn't take me that long to get comfortable again once I'd removed the stick from the proverbial as it was put to me. A big time boofhead in Australian terms. Alex, you're a very knowledgeable member and great problem solver. You're also one of the most difficult to get on with and opinionated folks around here. Please get over yourself and don't be so........I don't know the word, just do it.

No problem. I just pointed out a thread where I got trolled (it still exists) and wanted to make it clear that a thread is making me look like a dick before people start discussing it (because op edited their posts). It was a preemptive strike. I then get immediately attacked about my past as though this has anything to do with it? It's obvious those people are getting their rocks off and are apparently feeding off it.. So sad... Anyway thanks Mudgel. Point taken

I've been around since 2000. I'm completely aware of who CakeAlex is and that he was a forum host for a while. I did not always agree with him and I did not follow his escapades as usually I stay out of these things. I am also not defending him nor attacking you, I am merely making an observation about what I see here in general. I do have personal experience with devastating self inflicted mental anguish. Gratefully it did not play out on line. However having that experience has greatly influenced my capacity for empathy. Whether I like the person or not! Whether their pain is self inflicted or not! I will continue to work to improve my understanding of "life the Universe and Everything" In short to remove the plank from my own eye. I leave it to others to do the same for themselves, or not.
