I like it!! I think its brilliant. I have it all installed, and just checked it out. WINNER!! I feel like I can, "pick up bits and bits, of T-racks processors that I want." The custom shop thing, it too cool! I liked the Amplitube one, and now I like this T-Racks one..

rtucker55 Can't use jam points for the upgrade from deluxe to grand, screw it. This is my biggest problem with Jam Points... When it becomes an opportune moment to use them...YOU CAN'T! Really? So why give them in the first place... It certainly reduces the incentive to buy.... But...hey ...iApps are making a killing...so it's all good. Cheers!

IK Obi Any T-Racks gear models you already own from previous versions will be unlocked in the new Custom Shop. It installs the newer versions of the plug ins, but do not uninstall the previous older versions. That is why you are seeing two versions. "Restore My Gear" is a feature that syncs your account to unlock any new models you may have purchased (on another computer or an already registered product) already and just need to be authorized. Thanks Obi. I installed it and it's looking good. And you weren't kidding when you said a while back that there was going to be a lot more stuff to use Custom Shop credits on!

Hi Obi, a few questions if you don't mind. - Will the new versions pick up any user presets or do they have to be re-created?
- If we're seeing 2 versions (old & new) do we have to delete the old ones?
- IS it simply a matter of downloading CS and then "restore" my gear? Is this done via CS or via the IK site?
Thanks, Jonesey

2. Your previous T-RackS 3 Deluxe plugins are there for continuity. Projects that use T-RackS 3 plugins will continue to use T-RackS 3. You can uninstall T-RackS 3 once you are completely sure you have updated all your projects with the new T-RackS CS versions.

OK...I went to my account at IK and it shows the new CS in my download area. I've got all of the TRacks modules except the white and black thingys which I've purchased both as a bundle (TR Classic) and individually (all the TR 3 stuff). So all I need to do is just download the new CS thingy and all my stuff shows up in there now?? And then if I want to purchase any other TR module I can use my existing A3 Custom Shop credits??

After you download and install, you run the Custom Shop app (it's the same one for both Amplitube and T-Racks CS - there are tabs at the top for each). Under the Gear menu, there's a "Restore My Gear" option that basically "purchases" all the gear you already own. And then if I want to purchase any other TR module I can use my existing A3 Custom Shop credits?? Yes, as it's the same Custom Shop app!

strikinglyhandsome1 You can uninstall T-RackS 3 once you are completely sure you have updated all your projects with the new T-RackS CS versions. One gotcha here ... when you uninstall T-RackS 3, it also uninstalls a file needed by TRackS CS, so you will have to reinstall TRackS CS to get it back. No big deal, just something to be aware of.

So after I do the Restore My Gear and the open the TRacks CS freeby, it says I need to authorize it and takes me to the Authorization Manager where it asks for a serial number. What serial number do you enter here?

Windows\msocreg32.dat Windows\System32\msvcsv60.dll Windows\System32\w3data.vss ProgramData\autobk.inc AppData\Roaming\msregsvv.dll AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\isindex.dat HTH You might need that list to manually uninstall them after you've removed all your IK products via the uninstaller as they get left behind. So it might be worth keeping that list somewhere safe.

backwoods del- not feeding trolls Hey don't be like that. Mine is just a single POV, or do I have to be insincerely applauding IK Multimedia in order not to be a troll in your book? It's just that they've become more akin to something I have to keep scraping off my shoe rather than loading on my DAW doesn't mean anyone has to agree. It's just one personal opinion nothing more. Who knows somebody might actually agree but has been afraid to speak up for fear of being villified for having as positive view as some others. It's an eCommerce app. it's even called a 'shop' along with it's stable mates. Some people might like a direct line to their credit card from their DAW it's a free choice to make. It just not one I like the idea of when I want simply to choose a VST I've paid for to use in a project.

Jonbouy Hey, now I can load up a whole VST enabled 64 bit eCommerce app. when I want to use say a single EQ. How cool is that? (for IKM). What's more this shiny new eCommerce app is available for free!!! Where can I get me some of that??? Is there a line I can join? I fancy a yard or two of that BS. Interestingly, there is something in this arrangement that touches on a discussion we were having recently - when you run several processors with upsampling turned on, it upsamples once at the beginning of the chain and downsamples once at the end. I also think there may be some creative use for combining multiple different reverbs (in parallel and/or series), along with EQ. IOW, there may be some actual value to users. So if we wish to be cynical, we should at least consider potential positives. Otherwise it tends to weaken one's arguments. And makes them look like someone with an axe to grind more than someone having anything constructive to add. Note that that isn't to say that criticism (or cynicism) is unwelcome (or necessarily completely unwarranted).

I get what you are saying completely about the processing potential. However I have no argument to weaken in regard to these products. I simply don't want them, I don't like the aggresive marketing approach, I don't like the prevarication there has been about new releases I make no secret about the fact that the likelihood of an IK product making an appearance on my DAW is zero. I have nothing constructive to add I suppose other than there are alternatives that aren't so perniciously sticky. Axe to grind might be something that is seen in proportion to the amount of times these things appear on user forums aside from mere user interest. I big up more vendors than I choose to lambast. Actually there is only one I can think of that warrants that. I'm clearly not a fan am I?...
