rtucker55 Another question here. Since the black and white have been updated for the Free Custom Shop install why is there not an update for the black and white listed in My Products (since I already own them) unless I install the Custom Shop? Trucker.. They are still for T-Racks 3. The new ones for T-Racks 4 (Custom Shop) will only be available once you have installed TR4 and done the "Restore my gear" option. Then all the modules you own will appear in you CS account and in X2. The reason there is no update showing is THOSE (the ones for TR3) is because they have not been updated and are still usable in 3.

Ok, For grins I just purchased the upgrade, from deluxe to grand, at Jrrshop.com for $89.10 using their 10% off coupon for return Customers. What have I got to lose except $89.10? Kind regards, Rick

Haven't bought the upgrade yet; I have the Deluxe and CSR so now that is 64bit which is a great and appreciated update. What interests me is the British Channel. It says that it has both a black and a brown mode; so I guess this is modeled after a SSL. Is that what you guys think the British Channel is, a SSL?

I'm wondering if there will be a Quad Package that would be cheaper then the upgrade. I have everything except the 4 new Quad Processors... At least the upgrade should be cheaper...but probably not a chance... EDIT...I forgot about the British Channel I guess $85 bucks for 5 new processors really is a good deal... would be nice if I could use my Jampoints...that would make this a must do... but, as it stands, I'll probably wait until just before the cut off..

These upgrade prices are also specials for the new release as well. They will go to regular pricing on the 7th of January.

Haven't bought the upgrade just yet, but the Custom Shop install and authorization went flawlessly. Same thing when I restored my gear. I'm mostly interested in the British Channel and could live w/o the other, but it'll cost me more than to upgrade the entire suite (unless I use jam points for that single component). Furthermore, I feel like I might be screwing myself out of an upgrade path in the future if I opt for the components. :s

Ok...I've downloaded and installed the CS thingy with no probs. Then I restored my gear no probs. Then I authorized my new 64bit verbs and "replaced" them in my VST folder. My question is...since my other TRacks stuff is already 64bit do I need to replace (and reauthorize) these too or can I just continue to use the existing 64bit plugs in my VST folders???

You want to keep the old ones since the new ones are different and all your old project will report missing plugs if they are gone. I left my old ones but took them off my menus so the new ones will be used in the future.

Poop! I wasn't paying attention and installed the new VSTs in the generic Vstplugins folder. Can I create a new folder (T-Racks 3 CS) and move the DLLs there or am I asking for trouble?

You DON'T have to re-install. Just create a folder (and sub-folders if you like). TRackS CS is what I used (and re-named the old install TrackS OLD). These folders can be anywhere you like, just let Sonar "know" (in Plugin Manager) where they are. I have lots of folders & sub-folders in the main "Vstplugins" folder. Easier (for me) than using the Plugin Manager organizer. Waves is the only one that I can't "fix". It installs one dll that is a "shell" of sorts; I guess. Don't forget to "re-scan" after any reorganization so Sonar knows where to find everything. Then its a good time to burn a new "image" of your OS drive. I NEVER install anything without burning an image; bread crumbs to find my way home... And burn again if I'm happy with how things turn out. HTH, Tom

Thanks gents. I'll move them. I do set a restore point before and after any installs. I do image on a regular basis. The problem is that some of the uninstallers don't remove the dlls from their destination folder which is not always on the OS drive. Imaging and restore points don't help in that situation either unless I set restore points and image the destination drive as well. Some software is friendly moving dlls while others aren't. There's never a simple solution to any of these installs or uninstalls. Again, thanks.

IK Obi CSR is indeed 64 bit now. The update is a free one, but now its done through the T-Racks Custom Shop. You need to "restore your gear" like you do in the AmpliTube Custom Shop. It will automatically install the 64 bit version. You CAN use it outside of the shell as well. The computer that I want to install to is offline. I have TRacks Deluxe, CSR, ARC. Can you give me a tip to where I might find info on how to update/upgrade my stuff using TRacks Custom Shop. I have already installed TRacks CS on my offline computer. Thanks for the help. Milt. EDIT: I have done offline Custom Shop gear installs with Amplitube, but need a little help doing the same with TRacks CS.

The "Custom Shop" requires that you be online? (I think maybe it does, never done any CS stuff with Amplitude) I had the DAW in the office to run Windows Update and update MS Essentials (been 2 years). So I ran the CS install, authorization, and "Restore my Gear" online. Obi should chime in and let us know! Tom

In order to use the Custom Shop, you do need to be online. Same if you are trying out new gear before you buy. You can move your purchases to an offline computer just like you can with AmpliTube.
