Does this mean 64 bit versions of CSR? I think quite a few people were after that?

Bristol_Jonesey Doesn't make any mention of 64 bit Glyn I'll not hold my breath It looks like CSR is now 64 bit. I installed Custom shop and enabled a trial on CSR Hall. I only appears in the T-RackS CS shell, but that is 64 bit. The big question, is it only available in the shell because its a trial and will it appear as a normal VST after its purchased? All the old T-Rack gear I restored now appears twice in my VST list. The original 64 bit T-Racks and new CS versions. (plus a few duplicated 32 bit versions as well)

A lot of people bought the T-racks items as singles or in blocks of 5 during sales promotions. What's the best way to upgrade those items?

Is it just me, or is IK's website a bit confusing? I looked all over for a price just for the new SSL strip, and couldn't find it anywhere. All this Custom Shop stuff, bundles, credits, jam points, etc. doesn't exactly make for clear marketing ... is it too much to ask for just a price list showing the true cost for each single product? Is there such a thing? If so, I hope someone posts a link. Cheers, Eddie

vintagevibe This says it "Supports 64bit Operation" http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/csr/ Be careful ... I read somewhere that when IK says this, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a true 64-bit plugin, only that it works with a 64-bit host (with a bridge). If I'm wrong here, someone please clarify. Cheers, Eddie

I downloaded and installed the Free version of TRackS CS, and what's interesting is that it includes all the previous models of TRackS gear - the classic series, the opto compressor, the linear phase EQ, Whitey and Blackey ... all of them are there and enabled. I don't know if this is because I previously bought TRackS Deluxe or what, but I thought this was interesting. I would like to know if someone who never owned TRackS installed this if it would also enable all these plugs as well. What ISN'T enabled are any of the new plugs - the British Console, the Quad series plugs, and the other three variations of the CSR reverb - those you get to buy (or try for free) if you want them enabled. Just the British Console will cost you $99 bucks alone, so if you are thinking about the $99 upgrade from TRackS Deluxe or the $149 upgrade from TRackS Standard, then it's probably worth it to get all the new stuff.

CSR is now a part of T-RackS Custom Shop. To get access to the 64 bit support of the updated CSR version, either in the suite or as single plug-ins, you have to have T-RackS installed. Of course the CSR modules can be still be used as singles in compatible DAWs without the need to run T-RackS CS. So you can now unlock the new version by doing the Restore my Gear process in your Custom Shop and the old plug is not updated. The new plug in has to be installed, that means having T-RackS CS properly installed and the CSR collection unlocked. The previous CSR you have installed will still be usable (in fact it will appear in DAW's plug-in menus together with the new version), but only the new one will work in 64-Bit mode.

{Rant} $149 to (essentially) get 64bit operation. Not sure about this. $79 would have been a borderline incitement to go from a piecemeal* Deluxe user to CS Grand. Waves and UAD went 32 to 64bit for FREE. I'm thinking I'm just about done with IK. I bought Standard and all Deluxe modules (sans the White/Black). Now some will say that for $149 I get 64bit, White/Black and British Channel but again I say Waves and UAD gave me 64bit and I have four White/Blacks already and the UAD EMT-140 is as good as CSR for my uses. {/Rant}

CSR is indeed 64 bit now. The update is a free one, but now its done through the T-Racks Custom Shop. You need to "restore your gear" like you do in the AmpliTube Custom Shop. It will automatically install the 64 bit version. You CAN use it outside of the shell as well.

Only CSR was still 32 bit only. I don't know if the CS upgrades CSR for free to the 64 bit version but it looks like it does, but IK's site is flakey right now so I can't authorize to be sure but it does show CSR as one of my owned items in the CS. Think I'm with Bapu on this - I've got the original Tracks deluxe but I din't upgrade to v3 - now it looks I have no upgrade path at all, so shall forget this. I'm still on Amplitube 2 which works for me so shall stay with that as well!! I do think IK have lost the plot a little - what I shall do with my Sampletank etc is whilst it still works I shall just stay with it - I don't think I will be spending lots of money on this just to get 64 bit operation, when at the moment they still work as they are! OK, I'm a little happier that I got CSR 64bit for free. And yes, I knew that I got some of the T-R-3 64bit versions free in the past. I just don't get why I should have to "buy" the T-R-Standard plugs in 64bit format. But since I never really use them, maybe I'll just shut my mouth now.

Any T-Racks gear models you already own from previous versions will be unlocked in the new Custom Shop. It installs the newer versions of the plug ins, but do not uninstall the previous older versions. That is why you are seeing two versions. "Restore My Gear" is a feature that syncs your account to unlock any new models you may have purchased (on another computer or an already registered product) already and just need to be authorized.
