Well, I have been critical of some of moves that IK has made. I admit I have a bit of prejudice against ithingy development because I do fear that it hurts PC/mac workstation development in the long run. I did find myself recommending that iapp to a friend at work that just got a guitar and wants something like it and is already an iapp head. He has the free version now but is going to get the interface and full version. An affordable way to get some cool amp sounds for those that have an iphone.

I must also admit I'm also warming up to the custom shop. I was not aware of the huge amount of content that I already had bundled with Amplatube 3 and Amplatube Fender. I can why Obi  compared it to "steam" a while back.

I don't own any T-rax plugs so for me, the free update allows me to demo them. The skin that the plugs are in appear to be the Amplatube interface and the extra real-estate is dedicated to some metering.

I'm not really sure what I got for free here and what's just a demo, but I'm impressed with this update.

Thanks for the kind words guys. To be clear, you get the Classic EQ and the Metering suite. Its very useful, especial for phase/levels, at least to me. If you guys ever have any suggestions on improvements, feature requests for ideas for us post them on our forums. Our whole team, including the development team, checks in there.

This is one of the best mastering tool. I wonder why there is no taker of my T-Racks deluxe license that I am trying to sell on KVR. Is there a place in this forum where I can post the details?

No, I don't think this forum has a for sale section, especially for software. KVR is still your best bet for selling used software.

In order to use the Custom Shop, you do need to be online. Same if you are trying out new gear before you buy. You can move your purchases to an offline computer just like you can with AmpliTube.
IK Obi

I sure wish that somebody at IK knew how to do this. I have been in touch with IK support several times (number 385619), and still can't move my upgrade from Deluxe to Grand to my offline DAW. There is no clear explaination of when to use the 'restore my gear' process for offline authorization, and no step by step description of how to install the upgrade on an offline computer, and no information on which files to move. Custom Shop is a real PITA for an offline user like me, would have been so much easier to have had the option for the upgrade installers to be placed in the 'User Area' downloaded from there, and then moved to the offline computer. And now, the authorization request that I generate on my offline computer will not open the IK site when I click on it on my online computer. My money for this upgrade was taken from my account yesterday, and I still can't use the gear, getting PO'd! EDIT: sorry I screwed this post up!

Hey...I own all the modules from tracks 3 deluxe but I bought them all separately.  So...first do I qualify for the $99 upgrade to CS grand and if so can I pay for the upgrade with my CS store credits???

I'd contact our support to double check, especially about the eligible upgrade. They'll be able to see your account and give you the best option for upgrade. Plus, if we don't we will be able to work out a deal with you directly.

Anytime! Also a new update to the Custom Shop, now you can try out gear for 72 hours and then it resets for 6 weeks instead of having to wait a full 2 months.

So, I have 260 credits. I have 63 jampoints. I have all but three of the processors. 40 points each, in the Classic Collection How far can I get with the jampoints? I could use 120 of my credits... then the rest and the jampoints to upgrade to the Grande Collection but I am confused about how much I have and how to do it... a little help Obi?

Maybe I should just think about it but some thoughts that mean something to me would help. I just am not sure how the jampoints work... and if I use Credits to buy the three processors, will I then have more jampoints? Confusing....

Goodnight...

I'd contact support for some help with that. You can use the Jam Points for up to half off on more credits, so you may want to look there. If you are looking at bundles though definitely contact our support and we'll work something out for you.

Hey Obi.  I just spent a week or so emailing back and forth at IK. Although Jason answered my first email (and he's usually pretty good at understanding my queries) I don't think they quite got what I was asking and/or their replies to me were not helpful at all.  Maybe you know the answer:

Can I use my Custom Shop credits to purchase an upgrade to CS Grand????

(And if so, how??)

@jbow

I used my Jam points to purchase more credits to use in the Custom shop. Wasn't as good a deal as the 4->1 credit deal earlier but it was better than letting the Jam points expire.

Kind regards,
Rick

@yorolpal No, you can't use credits to buy a package in the Custom Shop. You have to buy it through the IK shop and then it'll show up in the Custom Shop. If you still need more help shoot me the ticket number and I'll get Jason to help you out some more. 4 for the price of 1 was a CRAZY deal too, I don't think you'll be seeing that again anytime soon. Jam Points are the best deal on credits in the Custom Shop right now.

Does this mean the Classic EQ is now 64 bit as well?

Can I use jam points for this upgrade? I have everything but the new stuff and only CSR hall.

Well, it's my first time using Custom shop since installing it and guess what. It crashes every time. Tracks deluxe crashes every time. To top it all off, any project in Sonar with an IK plug in it, can you say it? Crashes. What a joke CS is turning out to be.
