I was quite nervous about downloading & installing CS, but it all worked perfectly first time with zero issues.

I'd take it up with IK's support - they are quite good at resolving queries.

PM me your ticket number and I'll make sure the support manager is aware of the issue to get it fixed. I haven't heard of many instances where the new Custom Shop didn't work. You are the first I have heard that everything IK causes your system to crash. Our forums are for our users to share ideas, tips, techniques and have good musical conversation. They are not there for support. Support exists to give you official support from the company on a 1 on 1 basis.

It probably works now though I don't plan on using it. I don't have ARC 2 yet and S3 deluxe won't process anymore since CS was installed. I'll have to use Sonar to master. Simple.

What do I think the problem is? You have to have CS for the updated singles. I don't understand that. Why aren't the updated singles in our user area?

Also, there were plenty of people asking for help on the IK forum.

That's probably it Rocky. Thanks for the post. Judging how corporations work, it may be by design. I guess I'll have to wait for ARC 2 before I start can use it again.

You aren't chasing support down. IK is here, on the cakewalk forums, chasing you down for a ticket number begging you to let us help you......All future updates will be done through the Custom Shop. There was no email in my spam folder, inbox or any other folder. I just tried CD again. Since I don't have ARC 2, I have to master in Sonar. I used CS to trim it. It worked fine. I did not pay attention to where the file went so I opened the project back up and went to process it again, making sure I knew where it went, I click ok to process and it locked up. Thankfully this time I did not have to re-install everything.

When I went to process it the second time, I sent it to the desktop where I had dragged the original into CS. It wanted to overwrite, I said, "yes". That's when it locked up. Later on, I'll try it again but sending it where it will not overwrite and see what happens.

When CS does crash, it will re-open but my Octa-Capture will not be recognized. I have to close CS, turn off my OC, open CS, set a different driver (Pod XT), close CS, turn on my OC, open CS again and then set the driver back to my OC. It will not open a project without crashing.

Obi , no news about the offline auth procedure ...eta 

@Zo you can do the offline authorization the same way you can with the AmpliTube Custom Shop: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?id=3077 The authorization manager works like that, you copy/paste your serial numbers and it authorizes them all at once. It doesn't download all of the installers though. Especially for our non Custom Shop products. You can uninstall the old ones, but I'd keep them there just for older projects.

Obi i received a support answer telling me what i need to do isn't ok for now ....

i have the *Grand CS ...installed it on my lappy (done the video by the way on it ;)

then on my offline comp i installed the CS and authorize it ..cool but extra modules are authorized (and appears) on the standalone but dll not created for use in Sonar ,the recover option in the the cs cant be done as the cs can't be opened offline .... i gave up since ...

Open the custom shop app and find your gear and you can install them from there. It won't load now so I can't tell you exactly how.

The custom shop app needs to be online.

I like the IK CS, both T-Racks and Amplitude... it just works and that works for me.

OK...how do you combine jam points and CS credits to purchase something in the CS???  I mean how do you go about it?

I believe you can only use your Jampoints to BUY credits...


you can't combine credits and Jampoints...

I had to go here:

and use the jam points to buy the credits. Jam points good for 50% of the total purchase.
