Insane Magix deal for Samplitude ProX3 - SpectraLayers Pro4, Soundforge Pro 11, iZotope...

Sonar users --
Your pain is real! I'm truly saddened for this whole community. While Sonar was only an occasionally-used DAW for me (while I've owned most versions from Sonar 6 to Platinum), I appreciated its feature set and am also bummed and angry at Gibson. Meanwhile, THIS Forum has been 2nd to none!

While I own Sonar Platinum, Studio One, Reaper, and MixBus, what I use 95% of the time (for 20 years) is Samplitude ProX2. (Simply outstanding for editing, mixing, mastering, exporting. Stable with hundreds of VST-2 plugins. We also track weekly 34 channels for years with hardly a hiccup. Solid with 3rd party VST's, etc.).

Anyway, for those of you looking for a new DAW: you really should consider Samplitude if AUDIO is your gig. (Unless electronic music -- then maybe better off with Cubase). Magix (parent company) has an insane offer that's just come out and is only available for a few days as an Anniversary Special. It includes:
- the current version, Samplitude ProX3 Suite (with all kinds of goodies -- normally $600), plus
- Spectral Layers Pro4  (spend 20 minutes on the videos on the Magix page. Blows your mind with spectral editing!) ($400), plus
- SoundForge Pro 11 ($200, when bundled with SLP4, or $400 by itself), plus
- a special version of iZotope editing, mastering based on Ozone 7  ($100), plus
- (another version of) Melodyne elements ($50), plus
- Birdline Custom Skins for Samplitude ($60)

Anyway, it's all for $149 (seriously, the price of a great plugin). 4 days! It says "upgrade" because it's targeted to existing users on prior versions. But it's a new full version. And works for new users as well as current users. I just bought mine here:  (copy/paste)

You can watch the 2-minute video for a brief overview of new features.
For new users, check out Kraznet's series of YouTube Videos.

Best wishes.

Looks like a great offer, but the update prices for existing customers look like they are usually pretty expensive.

Splat, Win 10 64bit and all sorts of musical odds and sods collected over the years, but still missing a lot of my old analogue stuff I sold off years ago.

This quite a deal - I got Samp/Independence and SoundForge Pro as a bundle last year for $199, and thought I got a heck of a bargain. This ads more pieces and lowers the price by $50...

Reading their information, I do not see mention of a dongle.  Even if you didn't use Samplitude, this seems like a great price for the other included programs.

Sound Forge ?? I remember that being a $550 dollar program years ago. I wanted it sooo bad but couldn't afford it then, now SF11 in a bundled package with Samplitude, some iZotope, for $149 ????  it took me about 2 seconds to decide to buy into this deal. I'm having it sent out on dvds.....wow what a deal !!!!!

Thanks for saying that you are getting dvd's delivered.  This would certainly help me as my bandwidth can be quite challenged at times.

I've been poking about in Samplitude and it looks great. Many powerful features. I have never bothered looking into it before as it always seemed too expensive for what I thought was a second-rate DAW. I'm very tempted to get this deal, but I have blown all my cash on Studio One and Notion. However, considering what you get for the price I am trying to justify it to myself.

Splat, Win 10 64bit and all sorts of musical odds and sods collected over the years, but still missing a lot of my old analogue stuff I sold off years ago.

Dongle not required, I got software last night. Used online auth method to activate.
It may not be for everyone, but it’s a lot of content and features for the low low sale offer, crazy actually! Been wanting it for years, and the bonus stuff was too hard to pass up for me personally.
All daws are amazing, including Sonar of course. Almost can’t go wrong if you find one, or two three, that fit your needs and workflow style!
Cubase 9+ is also nice, so is Mixbus 4, Studio One 3.5, Mixcraft Pro 8, Waveform 8, Reason 9+, Fl Studio 12, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, etc... can’t go wrong really... personal choices or adventures is all!
Cheers!

Ps, Cakewalk Home Studio and Music Creator 7 still work fine and they haven’t been updated in a year or two I believe.... Sonar may do fine for a few years to come!

I did write the folks at Magix last week when the other DAW makers were offering discounts asking if Magix would consider a crossgrade offer for Sonarites.  I am quite pleased that what Magix is offering seems really good.  I was considering Sound Forge by itself a few months back, but held off because of cash restrictions.  But this offer is too good to pass!  thanks to the OP!

That’s pretty much exactly what happened with me when I saw that posted in another post here at Cakewalk with link to KVR posting from tutorial guru Kraznet, went and revisited the included products, and been wanting to upgrade my Samplitude Studio version for at least a year or two! Too much $$$ til now! Couldn’t pass it up! ...and the SpectraLayers videos at Magix page blew my mind!

Years ago I took a music production class at the local community college. They used Sound Forge as the program to teach us about music software. I loved the sound of SF's reverb and always wanted it. Well today I downloaded the SF demo and I'm happy to report the reverb still sounds awesome to me.

click on the link above: (or here, as I copied it.)  there will be a 'Purchase Now' link on the top of that page.  Pull out a Credit Card, and away you go.  you may need to register on the Magix page, or there is a tab to 'Purchase/buy as guest.'  You will have an option for download or mail.  There was no additional cost for mail delivery that I saw in the final invoice.

I just bought Studio One 3, and Soundtoys 5. If not for that I would be all over this deal. Still thinking about it but that's a lot of jack in such a short period.

None are better than any other imo. I got this Magix pkg deal for Samplitude Pro X3 with bonus SpectraLayers Pro 4 and Sound Forge Pro 11. Just getting it all going, but I can say I’m not a fan of the oldish Sound Forge, but even without it as bonus, the rest works for me. Quite a bit different than other daws I’m little more familiar with, but good, contents considered. Haven’t tried the SLPro4 yet, but was very impressive in example videos at Magix. Studio One and Cubase are both amazing daws also. I’d maybe demo Your favorite picks for a day or two before making up mind if doing a One Only kind of setup.

You get Sound Forge- reverb and plugin management is A1, top shelf, 5 star !!!!!! I'm going to use it for a replacement for Adobe Audition......it's a very finy editing program. I'm still evaluating Samplitude, but it looks cool so far. I've had good luck in the past with iZotope plug-ins......

Cubase requires an i5 or better processor, I have i3 so that eliminates Cubase for me. I did buy Cubase Elements 9 that has no such requirement. I also bought the Studio One Artist for $50 but was given their Prime program which was a freebee.... I would have traded it in for the full version, but no offer was made, so I forgot about it.....

Because Samplitude is a pretty impressive DAW that goes very deep in features. But also the other stuff you get in this package is top notch stuff that combined would normally set you back a huge wadge of cash. Combined, you get everything you need to professionally record, mix, master and do the Nth degree of audio forensics with. For $150 instead of $1400 if you buy it all separately when not on offer, it is a no-brainer deal. Also, it isn't on offer because they are about to launch new versions. These are the latest versions and there are no signs of newer versions being released anytime soon, but they are still being continued to be developed - any future upgrade though, is likely to be expensive unless you find a great deal then too. I have read a lot of reports that Samplitude is the most solid and least buggy of all the major DAWs. It does have a seriously deep feature set so be prepared for a steep learning curve, but there is a lot of help available online. I already bought into Studio One and Notion, but this deal on top of that, unless you are absolutely flat broke (which I almost am) is a must-have. I am going to be paying off this unexpected Gibson disaster for some time with my credit card, but I think I would be stupid to pass on this deal. I already have FL Studio, MixBus and a currently working copy of Sonar, and now in addition to that I have Studio One, Notion, Overture and Samplitude Pro X3 Suite will give me everything I could possibly need for quite some time to come. That's it though, I can't afford to see any more no-brainer deals. I'm putting my blinkers on now.

Splat, Win 10 64bit and all sorts of musical odds and sods collected over the years, but still missing a lot of my old analogue stuff I sold off years ago.

I'm in the same boat, I spent a lot of money on software this last week but I have a fantastic selection of programs to work with now. I can work with Overture for notation and midi editing, Mixcraft, MixBus, Cubase Elements, Studio One prime, Samplitude, Sound Forge, and a whole bunch of Waves plug-ins.....so I'm all set now....all totaled regular price on the stuff I bought would have been about  $2,500-3,000 bucks two weeks ago !!!!! I'm thrilled to have the programs I now have !!!!!

Bottom line is I can mix stuff to sound better than ever now.....I'm thrilled with the results I'm getting....

Very Cool! Nice Verb Vibe for sure! thanks for sharing. I just took a look earlier at SFP11 that came in my Suite, and didn't like it very much due to the old windows style gui and hard to figure out workflow, but this helps me realize there may be some golden nuggets hidden in it.
