Look at my attitude now though. I am no longer angry and lashing out like I did in the past. So that attitude has changed. My whole exaggerated idea of Hitler has also changed. It was nothing more than an exaggeration and you can assume all you want that I am just trying to handwave it away just as you can assume all you want that I am a troll or a spammer, but that is your assumption and I know that it is none of those things.

I'd have to say Craig, that doesn't appear to be working - there's an awful lot drivel that does get posted outside the FSF. I'm really not that bothered any more - I've finally accepted the views of those that say you should be able to post anything (within the TOS) any time, for all the reasons previously outlined. Because most of that "drivel" is well intentioned fun/joking around/trying to make other users kersnortle. What Mario is doing is plain old spammer/trolling and apparently, as he admitted in this thread, trying to "expose" us as "frauds". As sharke has pointed out he seems to do it on other sites as well.
It is mean spirited and/or specifically intended to waste the time of other users in a disengenuous manner. It's not intended to be funny or interesting. It is intended to annoy and disrupt.
I look at the CH like the "smoke break" room at band practice. Someplace to take a breather from the toons or whatever and goof around/chat with your compatriates. I notice that the most of the doods/doodettes that "get" the CH vibe have spent a lot of time in bands/bandrooms.
Also... I gotta say you get cranky about the weirdest things, dood.

Good point. There are two other options (both Danny approved I would bet): Blocking or ignoring.
That said, I can see why there's a backlash. A silly thread isn't trolling and no response is required, however asking for what appeared to be genuine help when the object was to debase the advisers who offer their help is a totally different story and tends to cause some desire for recourse.

Care to elaborate? I don't think wanting the obvious trolls to take some heat for their shenanigans is particularly "weird". It's been progressively eroding the usefulness and good nature of this place and Cake seems to have all but neutered those assigned to prevent it. I certainly don't expect anyone to know the full history of the dumblefarts I go after or anything about me or why I do what I do but trust me... if I'm crawling up someone's arse I have a good reason. I've mostly stated in this thread why this altbot has drawn my ire but I think the only thing I should have to say is... I'll tell you what. When I learn everything I need to learn about making music, I will fully produce those songs I hear in my mind and share them here on this forum. That will obviously take some time though. It will perhaps take years of dedication to finally get there. But we can then have a discussion that this forum was intended for. I was just not expecting anyone to get angry and frustrated at me here. I kept a calm and cool attitude throughout this entire topic. I never lashed out or anything. Therefore, I was expecting the same from others because I thought they would get the message that I was just having an intellectual discussion with them even if it was a discussion where they did not agree with my conclusions.
