CakeAlexS I got a newsletter! About something I bought 48 hours earlier for £20 more :(. Cheers...! I didn't and it has been 6 years of asking and asking to no avail. The last time I spoke with cake support was in june of this year. They said they found the problem. After 6 years not bad. It is going on november and still no marketing emails. But I'm happy some of you have finally gotten them.

Andrew Rossa [Cakewalk ] I believe the issue with subscribing has been fixed. Please add yourself to this list and you should receive future emails: http://www.cakewalk.com/manager.aspx Andrew apparently not fixed. I was told by Dan Gonzalez that the problem had been found and that after the release of X2 it would be addressed. I received the emails for about six years and then they stopped for about six years. Can you imagine six years of waiting for cakewalk to resolve an issue. I have contacted my internet provider in case they have a hard block on cakewalk. They were willing to discuss/resolve the issue with cakewalk. Cakewalk was not interested in doing that. Personally I can’t comprehend that position. I get marketing emails from about fifteen other vendors. As everyone else I get other emails from cakewalk. So what is the problem and why can it not be fixed

So what is the problem and why can it not be fixed Hi- I got your PM and we do know what the issue is for some folks. There are different corner cases and we are trying to improve the system to get everyone signed up. Believe me, we want everyone on the list. In some cases, there was an issue with comcast and AOL delivery. They were sending us back hard bounces, and after a few they get suppressed from the list. Clearly, there was some issue and we have identified accounts that should not be suppressed and are in the process of work with our email service provider to remove them. This is still happening. In other cases, it was a simpler issue where people got unsubscribed and we just activated them so they are now getting emails. We are still working on all the issues coming up including the AOL/Comcast issue. We hope to have this resolved soon. As for you contacting your ISP and us not wanting to resolve or discuss, I don't even know what this is about. Please PM me more details but this has nothing to do with your ISP. It has to do with your email account and the hard bounces we were getting from your account at some point. Thanks.

From what I have read a hard bounce can also occur when the recipient's mail server has blocked the sender’s server. Does cakewalk use separate mail servers for marketing, support and registration. Happy to be patient as long as cakewalk is trying to solve the issue.

In case CW is wondering I did receive an Email about the club soon after I signed up. I had been signed up for Emails before many times but had not gotten any for over a year. I know that this is earth shaking news and that you all are on pins and needles wondering so it seems to be working now. So you all can relax. However its a little hard to tell if it really is working when I don't know when an Email is sent. Perhaps you could send an Email to alert me that an Email is sent.

Can this thread be changed to an email subscription thread and a new one started for the Content Club? Seriously, I see new posts and keep thinking there is finally a discussion going on about the new goodies but it's all posts on the subscription thing. I feel bad for ya'll not getting your emails but this was a major threadjack. I really don't mean to be a jerk and these are important issues but I'd like to know what's going on with the freebies. Cheers.

Had trouble for years with yahoo rejecting replys to messages sent from their servers because i did not remove all the yahoo crap. And had lots of trouble with a couple of ISPs that would reject email sent from our servers. Spent too much time on this stupidity So, we advised our clients, who used our server, to get REAL email addresses. No more AOL, Comcast, Yahoo,.... We stopped trying to fix what all these idiots were screwing. (yahaoo got better.) CW: publish a list of ISPs that are being problematic so we all can get REAL email addresses. This will eliminate at least one of the newsletter/customer communication problems.

So what we are trying to do is re-activate those again. There are a lot of processes involved to make sure you don't re-activate spam traps, etc.

Hi, Guys, I hope this is an appropriate place to put this comment. First, I LOVE the Content Club! Certainly worth the price of admission. I'm really enjoying X2 Producer and deeply appreciate the improved workflow. V-Vocal even works now, but I'm still relying on Melodyne. That aside ... At first I thought, why the heck would I need another reverb? BReverb is nice and all, but why get the full version? The other reverbs are great. Well, I'll tell you why ... SOURCE Get it. Get it now. This one feature is a game changer for me. It allows me to position each stereo voice exactly where I want on the stage, left, right, toward the front, toward the back. And, position can be automated. And, the upgrade is only about $130 for a limited time. Why am I so excited about Source? Because for me getting this right is hard to do in most other affordable reverbs. BReverb has now become my main "go to" reverb on Sonar. It helps me do what I've always wanted to do with a reverb, putting every voice where I want it. 64-bit. Relatively easy on the CPU. Tweakable where it needs to be. Glad I didn't miss this deal.
