The one to add to the list for me, is the Jean Michel Jarre concert in Berkeley in a couple of months ... I'm seriously thinking of plunking that one down, as I think this is like only the 2nd time he has made it to the West Coast, and likely will not do so again.
 
NP: Grobschnitt -- Rockpommel's Land -- The CD has 3 versions of the title piece (19 minutes) and the 2nd is better than the 1st, the 3rd is better than the 2nd, and the 1st is great ... just like the "Solar Music Live" CD, the extras were magnificent and worth an album on its own. But you knew on LP this would never fly! The different versions, are ... even better than the original!!!!

I just discovered this guy from years ago, Rory Erickson, nice sound. Apparently he was a little crazy and had been through electric shock therapy - the band would get all the music recorded and then they'd pick up him and get him to record one crazy take after another till they'd run out of tape, then splice all the "sane" sounding lines together.

Roky is awesome. You have grossly mis-characterized him. He wrote all the songs . His story was more like prison for a joint, given electroshock because hey it's Texas in the sixties, and yeah maybe a little maladjusted afterwards.
