1. Move projects clips AND at the same time Markers!

eg. MArker "Chorus" does not change if i move the project to hte right

2. Move multiple Tracks that are selected up down

Planist,
Read your first post. Buy ProTools HD. It does almost everything you list (even has BeatDetective and AmpFarm blows Amplitube away).

You should be able to do this by cutting and pasting, and toggling on the Markers option. I think...

I don't know if anyone suggested this, but:

1. real "punch in" capability. make it fast and easy. and allow a library of punch ins without doubling the work (markers).

2. How about adding a buss switching option to the mixer view? That way I can easily buss ins/outs without right clicking. I know most DAW users only sum to a stereo pair, but I want to take advantage of 24 in/out and do so quickly and easily. This might be a "pop up" window on each channel.

I've just posted a request asking for an option to make the Mixer channel strips even slimmer. With th power of todays computers it's easy to work on large projects (60+ tracks) and it would be good to fit a few more of those tracks on the screen(s).

Thinking about it, a meter bridge panel would be another option - i'll post that one too.

Track Lock Feature.

....or something to guard against accidental deletions.

This has probably been noted alreadybut I'm not going to search the entire thread.

<sheesh>.... I haven't posted one of these (FR) in a long time..... but this one's been around for longer than that and I know I'd be a lot happier with this tiny improvement....

The controls pane (left arrangement window) can be clicked between open and closed.... It should have the ability to remember a user's desired open position and toggle open closed using this setting... Not a hard-coded default.....

Great work compiling the list - I'd like to suggest that Cakewalk replace the arpeggiator in S4 PE (S5) with the arpeggiator from P5 - P5 arpeggiator clearly superior. I wish both Sonar and P5 shared a common audio engine also - it would simplify CW's maintenance, troubleshooting and release cycles and expand their technical knowledge base rather than developing divergent technology.

Thanks for all of the work on the list!

Appreciatively,

Best regards,
WB

Why SONAR 5 Step Record function can't auto record "Note Duration & Note Interval"?

For example(via piano),
push and hold on the keyboard = Note Duration
release the keyboard = Note Interval

I agree with you. P5's engine is a bit more gapless than Sonar's but then again it is probably more simpler (not having to deal with as many variables as Sonar's engine).

But I kind of don't get the whole P5, Sonar separate sequencer strategy. I am not really of fan of having to rely on multiple programs to achieve my goals (although I realize it will continue to be a reality), I think one app that does everything produces a better workflow in the end (although these programs would probably be more intimidating to beginners. But when learning any program esp to be a power user, a learning curve must be endured. This is to be expected).

But then again now that the ball is rolling there are some diehard P5 users. I found it too limiting compared to Sonar and I never could adapt to some of its must use mouse, or must go through senseless key pressing to acheive goal functionality.

Linking Clips

Let me link two or more independent clips (that may be both, the same or different) in some way. eg right click or keybinded without copying them.

what functionality will be applied to linked clips should be asked while linking the clips.

like clip boundaries, fades.

Samplitude has a "clip lock" concept that's easy to use (a little lock icon on each clip) that allows you to safeguard the clip from moving in time on the track inadvertently. I use it all the time when I have done a critical edit. I'd love to see this in SONAR.

I like the idea of the "track lock" too. I can't tell you how many times I have messed up and not realized the scope of my "selection set" and inadvertently deleted or moved something around.

Looking through this thread I see things that are probably more appropriate for a 6.0 release than a 5.1. There are a lot of good ideas, but I'm not holding my breath... :-)

How about Loop Marker like Cubase.

one way - its loop
the other way - (if the looppoints are the other way around) this part on playback will not be played
