And yes, I do find Anderton terribly compromised (in a sad way, to be honest): he can't tell the truth and now he is desperate trying to find ways of un-doing the great damage he did when he flat out confessed he would not use LANDR for his projects or anyone else's because it can't do what it promises: mastering.

At this point you are no longer "misunderstanding" or "being disingenuous," you are outright lying in the purest sense of the word, which requires an intent to deceive.

The reason I won't use LANDR OR ANY OTHER MASTERING SERVICE OR ENGINEER is because I know how to master. I can't believe that is such an incredibly complex concept for you to understand, and that it in no way diminishes what LANDR offers. Just because I don't need to use Randy Kling or Greg Scalbi any more doesn't mean I am "damaging" them by saying I master my own material.

LANDR promises to do several things. I am interested in those elements that complement what I do, and I find value in that. I suppose saying I'm doing damage by telling the truth makes sense to you; as someone who doesn't tell the truth I see where you would find someone being honest problematic.

And by the way, if you check out the timing of posts, you would realize I said I wouldn't use LANDR myself long after I had already expressed support for the concept. But don't let facts get in your way. I didn't change ANY of my opinions after that post, which was not a "confession" - I know you like to shade the truth in any way you can - but a statement of what does, and does not, appeal to me personally as a mastering engineer about LANDR.

You're a truly sad and despicable human being, Anderton, forced to lie for a living.

I won't waste any more of my time with you. I will deal with the situation in a simple manner: never again invest a single penny on Sonar or anything Cakewalk for as long as they keep you as their mouthpiece/resident snake oil salesman.

No reason to give whatever little business I represent to a company that gives a voice to sleazily sad characters like you.

Bye!

Andrew Rossa [Cakewalk]
I feel like we are losing complete control of this thread and I am not sure what to do. Most companies would have taken action but I am really trying to avoid it. We need to stop the personal attacks first and foremost. And more importantly, we should avoid posting the same view points over and over again.

Andrew, it's very simple. A small handful of users have created alts in order to perform what is basically a low-level denial of service attack, which they have done in the past with other threads. They do this when Cakewalk does something that displeases them.

This is exactly why Propellerheads shut down their forums. As just one example Orphaned at Birth posts negative posts here, yet he claims that he no longer uses SONAR. There is no logical reason for someone who doesn't use SONAR to post in a forum dedicated to providing useful information to people who use SONAR.

You will never be able to get rid of people who are determined to cause trouble. You can either ban/remove when they pop up and keep doing it every time the appear, put up with them, or shut down the forums.

Hi,

I am going to lock this thread. It's become completely unproductive. I can't tell you how much I hate doing this because we do like to read the comments. Personally, I am very interested in getting all the feedback, good or bad, and discussing with my colleagues at Cakewalk. I respectfully ask that this not continue on other threads. And again, let's try to be kind to all our fellow users, even if you don't agree with their opinions. Thanks.

FanCake is the same guy who uses an anonymizer located in Norway that's also blocklisted for hackers, spyware, botnets, etc., and is currently has eight spam hosts. Worthy of another removal, I guess. Funny, I never banned anyone until "Mr. Hiding Behind a False Name, False Email, and IP Anonymizer" showed up. Orphaned at Birth is almost certainly the same guy who created Fair is Fair, TruthBTold2, and several other alts as they share the same ISP and even the same servers. Unlike the Norway anonymizer person, who could still be the same (all these trolls look alike...), they are using servers that have from 19 to 34 spam hosts. As creating Alts is against the terms of service, they will be removed. FWIW in defense of Irvin, he is NOT one of these people. I do think he may be the chess-playing drummer guy who hates me too, but I'm not sure.

What's most unfortunate isn't their attacking me; everyone here knows these people are idiots, to the point of their Alts going around marking the other Alts' posts helpful. What's really unfortunate is that people who are actually intelligent and want to engage in a dialog, like cparmerlee, are being drowned out by a bunch of attention whores who clearly have nothing better to do with their lives than do what is basically a low-grade denial of service attack.

You wrote this and then locked the thread. Would have much preferred to not to create a new thread. I would have loved to have PM'd you to settle this properly, but I cannot with a new account.

I can't understand why you calling me a troll, an idiot and threatening me with a ban. I have not attacked you whatsoever. I've only done a few posts. Did you read them? I use the Tor browser and like many people do, I value my privacy. I have no idea what proxy it is using, but I do know that the Tor browser changes proxies regularly, it would be impossible to use the same IP address as another user account, so I find your comment baffling.

If using Tor is against terms and conditions may I politely but not forcefully object most strongly.

If you have an issue with people agreeing with each other, well I am actually repeating more or less Beepsters comment, I also notice Mettelus liked my comment. I also agreed with them. See post #219 in that thread, everybody can see it and my other posts. Do you regard these people as trolls? All I was asking for is a separate package for LANDR like others were. I have not stated I am for or against LANDR. I've also recognized that Cakewalk has acknowledged points about installation made by these people.

I have also strongly agreed with Andrew saying "I am asking that we keep it civil and constructive - and most important be kind to your fellow SONAR users. We're all in this together :)". And in the spirit of that I shall try not to get too offended and angry about this, even though I find your comments objectionable, worrying and wholly uncalled for. Just wow...

I didn't lock the thread, but yeah, you're right. Your writing style is different and I should have checked. When someone else said he thought you were an alt I keyed in to that without doing sufficient research.

If you've read the other comments, I think you can understand why I'm upset. It should not have been directed at you because your follow-up post makes it totally obvious you are not the same kind of person as the others, as you place value on having a dialog. And in return, I respect that and have no problem saying that in your case, and I believe in your case alone, I almost certainly acted without doing sufficient research first.
