book hasn't been out that long though... and in the past it's been a pain to get in the UK.

John This is going to be a short user review of Scott's X2 Power book. This can be used in any way Scott wishes. Now to the review. The thing that is most noticeable is the size. This book is large. But there is no wasted space. What this size allows is bigger graphics and more information on each page. Its well put together from a user perspective. To John and all who missed the Sonar X1 Power! book. The new size was started with X1 Power. I also loved the bigger size as it is easier to hold reading in a comfy chair. Anyway as John says, "no wasted space".

John This is going to be a short user review of Scott's X2 Power book. This can be used in any way Scott wishes. Now to the review. Hey John... thanks for that excellent review! I really appreciate it. Only if you have the time... would you consider posting it over in the Cakewalk Store and on Amazon? I would do it myself, but I can't. Only the person that wrote the review can actually post the review on those retail sites. Thanks! Scott -- Scott R. rcrees I agree with John, this book is extremely readable! We've come to expect the best from Scott, and he doesn't disappoint... A MUST for any user (like me) who sometimes feels overwhelmed by the sheer size of X2. Just skim the TOC and you'll see it all put into perspective, then dive in. I'll probably skim once and read cover to cover twice. Hey Rob... thanks very much! I'll ask you too... but again, only if you have the time... can you post your review over in the Cakewalk Store and on Amazon? Thanks! Scott -- Scott R. FCCfirstclass To John and all who missed the Sonar X1 Power! book. The new size was started with X1 Power. I also loved the bigger size as it is easier to hold reading in a comfy chair. Anyway as John says, "no wasted space". Hey Clint... that's true. The bigger dimensions also brought the page count down, but the same amount of information is still in there. If the book was put out in the old size, the page count would be more like 600+ so there's nothing missing with the larger size. Thanks! Scott -- Scott R. Well, it arrived this morning and I have spent most of the day (between my chores etc) dipping in and out and skimming through the chapters. My initial impression is that this book is eminently 'readable' as well as being ideal for dipping in and getting the answer to a specific issue. The detailed and comprehensive index makes this a pleasant experience. The size of the pages and the style of Scott's writing, along with the text boxes giving snippets of information which expand on a topic or giving a tip or shortcut, make a pleasant change to the usual dreary style of similar books. Sonar X2 is a complicated piece of software and, although I have only skimmed the book so far, I believe I can say that this is the sort of book you could easily read from cover to cover or dip in and out as the need arises. I am looking forward to working my way methodically through the chapters to bring myself up to speed with the full range of what Sonar X2 has to offer. I think it will remain an essential addition to my reference library for the foreseeable future. Recommended.

I finds it amazing that the book can make it all the way over to West Wales (no offence) yet not to the sprawling metropolis of sunny Bristol. Weird indeed.
