I joined a chocolate lovers forum the other day. I was asked if I liked a combination of chocolate, caramel, nougat and hazelnut. I said I used to, but I no longer did. Then I was banned from the forum for going off topic.

I made a scene about it? ME? I think we have a new definition of the word "chutzpah," and it comes with a thumbnail of mike-mccue. Welcome to the world of Mike Mccue........................ It goes something like this. - Make much ado about nothing and/or make up some sort of "the right/correct position" on a subject regardless of whether it is correct or not.
- Accuse others (mostly those who have dared call him on some of his BS) of the very thing that he is guilty of himself and/or move heaven and earth to prove himself "right on the internet" rather than admit he might be wrong/mistaken.
- Act offended and use some sort of insult - such as "Troll"
- Complain that he is being "personally attacked" when you respond.
It's tedious, dull, and transparent. You're from England aren't you sharke? You'll know the sort, every pub has one.............

synkrotron Coward? You see that's typical. He's quite correctly assuming I don't really know him, which I don't , all I see is the arrogant know-it-all ego that posts on here. While at the same time he assumes that he knows me, which he may well do. I am me on here or as close as you can be on an internet forum anyway. If the thread writer is really like him I genuinely feel sorry for him. Regardless his thoughts and opinions of me are completely irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. I'll concede that Mike is right on whatever he comes back with and bow out so this doesn't get any uglier than it already is.

Dear Karl, I am hoping that some day you can muster the basic intelligence so as to figure out that if you can stop crafting direct insults written specifically to define an antagonist that you will not seem like a liar when you claim that you consider the subject irrelevant. regards, mike

What the hell is wrong with a sausage that looks a bit like a penis? It's not a real penis. It's a sausage. What possible offence could it cause anyone, of any age? What are you really offended by, and why? What is wrong with you people?

What if someone had posted a picture of a penis that looked like a sausage? Would that have been less offensive? It might've been just as funny.

I find this thread oddly comforting. Perhaps it is a demonstration of consistency in a rapidly changing world that makes it so. Knowing that every couple of months, when I get the urge to see what is up down here, I will find that within the first ten thread will be a thread just like this. It is like a comfortable old shoe.
