Depending on the exchange rate it's about 69 or 70 pounds.

Thanks guys... already upped awhile ago as you all rock... I am excited about the new popup on screen help... I think it'll really benefit new users or trial users if it's done right.  Great way to help expand the user base as Sonar has so many features it becomes overwhelming to newbee's or even oldies like me!

+1 on arranging
and hope console track folders mimicing track view get here sooner than later as well as color saves in templates... all are highly desired by many.

luv my DAW...

Depending on the exchange rate it's about 69 or 70 pounds.

We get a decent price, that works out at whatever the exchange rate is - but we get screwed by 20% VAT on top of it.
This isn't Cakewalks fault of course ;-)

It's £70 + £14 VAT = £84

I just paid £84 via the Cake store.

It might end up cheaper via a third party, but at this price level I can't be arsed to shop around.

Really looking forward to the rest of 2016, these updates just keep on getting better & better

Hope there is a lot more in store, certainly some pretty thin updates for what amounts to a 6 month promise.  (just being realistic here - Spring ends in mid June)

The Mastering Update looks good, hope there are some tweaks under the hood of those plugins as well.

Expected to see more than just some UI changes for the Rolling updates over a 6 month period.

If you look back over the history of pre-announcements, there always ends up being more than what's pre-announced. Cakewalk pre-announces only those things that have an extremely high probability of happening.

Certainly, but I also remember things like V-Vocal and the Drum Replacment tool annouced early.  Pretty big updates/add used as good bait.

Here the promises are basically UI updates and updates to two 3rd party add ons.  The little I've seen on Melodyne 4, makes me wonder how much the barebones Essential version actually gets.  The more interesting Mulit-Track stuff they are adding doesn't seem like it would really apply to the monophonic version.

I'm sure they will offer more....I'm just a bit curious what kind of "major" updates they have in store.

If they said, here is what we expect Q1, that might be different.  Interested to see what he bigger carrots are.

2015 was a fantastic year for Sonar, and I've renewed and am looking forward to an awesome 2016!!!  Just out of curiosity, did anyone else notice the emphasis on these updates/features coming this spring??  Not in February, or in March, or April, like last year.  12 months, 12 updates, 12 towns around Boston.  Are we only going to see spring, summer, fall and winter updates this year?  Or will it still remain a monthly thing?   Just wondering... :)

Actually kind of curious about the library presets addition, been looking for ways to optimize my workflow lately, though I had the impression I would be able to do that with existing options.

There are so many new items under development, your renewal price is a bargain.  Many I'm excited to start using.  Sonar and the CCC and all the 2015 updates have worked flawlessly for me.  I always update without hesitation.  Granted, I'm using a StudioCat computer, but Sonar has been amazing to date.

Obviously once we deliver these features there will be others. We don't believe in vaporware so we're only announcing features that are actually in development currently. There are some other deep features that will be announced later on.
Also this hardly qualifies as "basically a UI update". It may not be that obvious from the feature descriptions, but the browser will be a humongous update in itself - its a brand new predictive way of working with content, plugins and instruments which will be a huge workflow upgrade in itself, for both experienced users as well as novices.
The add track feature might seem small, but once you use it you won't want to go back to the old way since its way faster.
These are all solid workflow enhancement features that will benefit all users.

Are we only going to see spring, summer, fall and winter updates this year?  Or will it still remain a monthly thing?   Just wondering... :)

No change from last year. We plan on having close to monthly drops. Some releases may have features some may have fixes and optimizations. Features will come online as they are available. We're working on some pretty big things so it might be a few months before they are ready for consumption, but other smaller features will come online earlier.

Hey Scott, I haven't seen that avatar of yours for quite a while.  How have you been doing?

Craig, I only can afford $100.00, but if you allow me to have the VS 700 for that amount I promise I will post a video of me using it on Youtube and you will be able to see how much I will enjoy it....

Just think about it Craig, just think about it a little bit.

The upgrade from Editor 3 to 4 is $99. Seems fair. the other pricings are at the bottom.

and apparently the upgrade from Editor 2/3 to Studio is $149 now.  Seems like a $50 no brainer.

I think there's a question whether Essential 4 will conflict with Editor 2 or not, if it is installed.
