Noel Borthwick [Cakewalk] That is accurate. Patch points were not planned at the start of the year although we had internally talked about it many times in the past. Its all about prioritizing the needs of users and this was the right time to do this feature once we had tackled some more pressing issues. It was also required to set the foundation for some other cool things we have planned. >>That being said, I sure wish they'd allow an aux track to solo all tracks feeding it, just like a bus does. :) You might get lucky again. It is the lottery season after all :) Hmm maybe we should have a feature request lottery!
Well that sounds like something to keep an eye out for. :)

Snehankur I have Cubase AI 8 and Studio One 3 Artist. I haven't installed any of them, I thought they will put load on my DAW PC. Only if you're running them at the same time, which isn't advisable anyway if you're using an ASIO interface. My question is if I install them : Will I be able to explore any good feature what my Platinum is not giving? Yes and no. You can transfer files among programs, but it's not a seamless process. SONAR makes it very easy to export all your audio, which you can then bring into another program; and of course you can do the reverse. I don't think you can drag and drop between two different open programs but I haven't tried it...maybe it's possible. However cannot use Platinum features in Cubase or Studio One, or use Cubase or Studio One features in Platinum. Will I be able to utilize Chord Track, Arranger Track, Note FX, MIDI effects etc and bring the results in Sonar? Yes, but keep your eye on Friday's Tip of the Week, which tells how to do easy arranging in SONAR. The next one covers how to create a feature that's like Studio One's scratchpad, but is more flexible in some ways. Much of what other DAWs can do is possible in SONAR with a little creativity. Will the VSTi installed by the process of installation of these two can also be accessed from SONAR? Many of Sonar's plug-ins will work in other DAWs, but AFAIK the plug-ins in Cubase and Studio One are "keyed" to those programs and work only with their respective programs. At one point Cubase made MIDI FX based on the Cakewalk MFX standard and offered a "wrapper" to run Cakewalk's MIDI FX in Cubase, but those days are long gone.

Bristol_Jonesey Oh right, I was unaware of Cake's comments on this.
I guess you don't read the Store forum. Not sure why I do, come to think of it. Sorry if I was brash. It's a bit like the subscription questions all over again.
There's a STORE forum? Oh yeah, so there is. Never been there before.......
Don't worry, I didn't realize what was there, either. I thought it was a forum for issues with the store, itself. Purchasing might have been more descriptive, maybe. But, it's a useful forum.

+1 on the forum participants. I learn as much about human behaviour as I do about Sonar. How to be eternally optimistic and how to be an old grump. How to praise and how to rant. How to worship and how to jump ship. How to get thrown out and even how to commit suicide.

I really hope that we'll get customizable buttons and icons in the UI creator. I really miss some of the buttons I used in 8.5.

When I click on the link in the email to renew it takes me to an upgrade page for $149 instead of renewing for $99. Is this price automatically adjusted? Also under "My Products" Sonar Platinum isn't even listed.

I have had a subscription over the past year. When I go to renew via the 99.00 method I am presented with a charge of 149.00 at checkout. I have contacted support and they asked me to provide my S/N. I did and now I am hearing nothing back. (Case 306941) Order Support
Please advise as I have sent several emails now with no further contact back. The ticket number has been in the subject line.
Thanks much!

My apologies. This has probably been answered but I'm not seeing it. I have been on the monthly subscription, and I justed opted to renew annually at 99.00. When I go to my membership page I see this:
SONAR PlatinumMembership valid through March 6, 2018
You are currently paying annual
So I am assuming I will need to cancel my monthly subscription because the annual starts immediately? Not sure how the dates of the subscription are calculated per what I see as the monthly payment dates in my account with the starting subscription date of 1/21/2015.
Sorry if I'm being a little slow here and thanks for any help provided.

I have upgraded my subscription. All is well in "Studio Rebel". I look forward to hearing what Cakewalk can add to an already decent program. I thought I was happy with X3 but several of the 'additions to Sonar Platinum' have been welcome additions to my workflow. I hope my music creation doesn't suffer with all the time I spend just fiddling with said additions. Oh well.

Today I received an email from Cakewalk that had a link to a PDF. It went into detail about the upcoming Manchester update for 2016. I would like to formally thank Cakewalk for the puddle of drool beneath my monitor! Seriously, I think the bakers have once again hit another one out of the park. In the PDF I looked at the Tascam U.S. 20X20 audio interface. Now I have another piece of hardware to add to my yearly budget. In my little project studio the VS-100 has served me well over the last few years. I am budgeting for an expansion of this project studio. Major upgrades are coming and this came at just the right time. USB 3.0 looks very promising. I know little about this. When is The US 20x20 going to be released and where can I get one?

Hello to all, I have pro as of the moment. Is there a special deal to bump up to Plat. I have until Oct to renew. But I would upgrade now if I could get a deal for the bump up. I've paid for the year already and might have to wait until renewal time. Not sure. I never needed to go to splat because I have most of what comes with it. But, maybe it's time to jump.

Upgraded as well just now! Thanks bakers. Looking forward to another great year!! Keep the focus on SONAR's main features and workflow... as there is a lot of very decent and affordable plugins / instruments out there ( I just checked the price tag of some plugins in Cake's store... ouch... but my CAD is weak nowadays...) ;-) ... sorry ... could not help it...
