I forgot another fix I'd like to see. One of my favorite (and essential) plugins is the 16 bit RGC Enhancer Direct X plugin. It adds even order harmonics like the Aphex Aural exciter, but much much better. I have to record many times in the 32 bit version of Sonar in order to be able to use it. Many of my software instruments are moving to 64 bit, which will prevent me from beginning tracks in 32bit to get the RGC. Native Instruments and East West Play have moved 64bit only. Cakewalk bought RGC many years ago, and I don't understand why they didn't include it and upgrade it to 32 and 64 bit VST. Either add the ability to use it 64bit, or include a new version of it. I use the RGC Enhancer of vocals, Acoustic instruments and also my new Traveller Pump Organ virtual instrument. I recently bought the Waves Aphex Aurel exciter plugin, and was extremely disappointed. I won't ever use it. I guess I should upload a short video of the RGC Enhancer on my YouTube channel. By the way, my profile picture doesn't show up.

ACT, ACT and once more ACT ACT for all Roland, Edirol and Cakewalk devices! e.g. vs100, pcr800... It usually works well for navigation, playback, record, mixer, etc. but it never really worked for custom plugin maps: rearranging the controllers and actually saving/recalling them after restart. This feature brought me to and made me stay with Sonar and roland equipment some 7 years ago as complete music novice back then. It took me two years to realize that this feature was never really finished off. Even one cakewalk support technician could not make it to work on 1.5 hour long remote session on my computer ... Thank you

Would be nice with a 32-bit edition, alternatively a more robust BitBridge module (I assume for 32-bit plugs).

Thank you Meng and all of you at BandLab. 1. Clip audio gain tool 2. More pro channel modules (eg. Filters, Delay, Reverb and dynamics) 3. Easier and less "deep " way to customize colors and layouts 4. More contrast (the definition of protools GUI for example allows a better wiew when zooming out) 5. Simplfy the audio snap tool 6. More staff accuracy More to come! Think you

Hi Meng, Thanks for saving Sonar, and thanks for the opportunity to make suggestions! The number one feature I would like to see implemented in Cakewalk by Bandlab is a greatly simplified solution for arranging songs. It does not have to work exactly like Studio One's arranger track--it can be it's own thing--but there must be a better way than the current technique of cutting and pasting multiple tracks, dragging them around, and then re-stitching them together with the dozens of little fixes necessary to make the joins seamless. This is incredibly cumbersome and time consuming. It is impractical to rearrange a song containing more than a few tracks. If there is anything like this in the pipeline, could you possibly let us know? I am happy to wait for it, as long as I know it is coming. I really want to keep using Cakewalk! Thanks for your time.

Tap tempo assignable to controller. Ability to correct tempo during playback by tapping. That would make CbB also ultimate live vst synth host. For midi only projects that would be good enough. Tapsa

The built-in mp3 encoder window would be much more convenient if we could store presets of all it's settings and data...

Here's one that's a bit annoying... The note names in the PRV... It really should be fixed so that it remembers which way you wish displayed. Currently I must re-select the AD2 names everytime I open the window... Yes, I seem to remember this is less of a problem when using the multidock (?) but I prefer using PRV as a free floating window...

Make the install of ASIO4ALL optional ... it is also installed (optional) with other products (like FLS) and may create version conflict. Just a suggestion ... I don't us it so it's not a problem for me.

TTBOMFK ASIO4all is not part of any SONAR or CbB installer. I do not believe SONAR has ever installed an Audio Driver. Thta would be part of your Audio interface installer.

Mannymac My most pressing request would be related to the Tungsten theme. I love it but I am not using it because the Mixer Strips don't follow the Track Color selection. That was a feature request since the new color scheme came out. Would be great to have it like it is in Mercury. Why it was not like that from the start is beyond me to be honest. Please Bandlab :)
+1 The tungsten theme is really nice looking, much easier on the eyes when you have to look at the screen for hours and hours. Yes the color bars indicate at the bottom, but when you scroll up in the console view you loose the ability to see any color differences, it's really hard to sort through dozens of tracks this way. Pretty please...? Dave
I would like to see the channel strips edges 'framing' them in their respective colours, rather than a solid colour covering the entire strip/s.

Is there any connection between a marked degradation in latency and installing the bandlab version? It used to be acceptable but latency is now so long as to make direct midi recording completely impractical. I'm not saying Cakewalk by bandlab is the cause. I don't know what the cause is but I recently installed Cakewalk by bandlab and I've made no other changes. And of course I'm still grateful to bandlab for what they are doing - which is great.

This is a little issue, but it would be nice to have fixed/changed.
Currently, muted midi notes display in thr track's "promoted" view.
I find this counter intuitive as well as misleading.
Maybe an option as to enable/disable this action?

So, after finally downloading and installing the new version and composing a few songs in it, I can honestly still say that I don't really have any complaints. Everything still works as it should, and I don't really have any fancy or specific wants/needs.
However, and I don't know if this has been mentioned (I have seen it posted elsewhere), the "Clean Audio Folder" function has never really worked. Either I get an error message and it doesn't actually clean the folder, or it will freeze and sometime crash the program altogether.
Also, I remember that ages ago, the pattern draw brush in PRV had pattern polyphany/patterns removed. Is there any chance of that making a return? It's not as much of an issue now that I use a lot of prepackaged loops, but it would still come in handy once in a while (when there's not a loop I like) so I don't have to manually input a zillion notes or do a ton of copy/pasting (is a real PITA for those of us who do a lot of stuff with double-bass drums and blasting patterns.)

I think that it would be nice if there was a function like Studio One 's scratch pad. If possible, I would like a system that can be shared among multiple projects.
By the way, of course there are planned to be officially available for Japanese language?

When erasing the middle note in the triplet, the notation becomes strange with missing number 3. I hope this fixed soon! thank you!!!
I don't think you are going to get what you expect because it is not correct. If you were to remove a middle note from a 16th note triplet, why would you expect two 16th notes and an 8th note rest, and why would you expect it to be a triplet still? Unless you forgot to mention that you also deleted the 32nd / 16th dotted tie as well. But even then, you wouldn't keep the "3" as that is not a triplet. You would never mix note lengths in a triplet. The current notation you see is correct. If you wanted it to maintain the triplet, then I would think the correct way to do it would be to have 2 16ths and a 16th rest.

My desires are fairly simple. 1. Similar to audio folder which audio clips/tracks files are saved to automatically, a midi folder that midi clips/tracks are saved to. 2. Similar to Pro-tools, for gain editing of selected sections of audio clips, which also visually re-sizes the display of selected section of waveform, so easily comparable to adjacent sections (and/or in volume automation, which visually also resizes waveform display) 3. Lock button to lock track controls, or right click option to lock individual track/console controls (i.e., fader/pan etc., anything that may be inadvertently changed by scrolling). 4. Meter parameters settings globally in preferences menu (albeit using "lenses" one may retain these and other global preferences). Cheers

Everyone needs are different but I think there are some improvements which are General and need to be done firstly.
1. The most important thing is more stable behavior while loading lots of VSTis. For example 20 instances of Omnisphere 2.
2.More inteligence while dealing with MIDI tracks for example in Cubase when you load a multitimberal VSTi and then add MIDI tracks one by one or at once, the outputs asign automatically and effortlessly. Also Activating the VSTi audio outs are much easier in Cubase !!!!
3- Cubase has "Chord track" and "sampler track" which are very useful.
4- While Sky light is great, a more modern look with sharper and slicker windows will be appreciated
5- MIDI work improvement, less crash while working with soft synths
