Any News on the SONAR Skin Editor?

I've had a couple of weeks of being busy doing other stuff (including some SONAR Plus fixes). I've finally got time to get back into it now, so expect a beta soon.

My DAW: Intel i5, Cakewalk UA-1G, Win7 64 bit, SONAR X1a Producer 64 bit

Hi!

panu ive finally tried your mods and just as i suspected the y are absolutley fabulous.im loving sonar so much more now.not as boring to look at anymore.can wait to see your next one.(if you do indeed make another one.)great job and thank you so so so much ..

p.s.-it is so easy to switch back and forth.i tried it just see how it works...it works great and easy.ive even noticed i can delete your exe mod once i run the mod in the producer file.

one question is..do the mods only work on producer or will they work in studio and essential versions?

Mods are compatible with SONAR Studio.
They may be compatible with Essential, too, but I can't verify it myself.

Great to hear you tried mods (finally)!

Thank you, I'm in now, and I've downloaded a mod.  But, I'm somewhat confused by the installation instructions.  I copied the TTRSES90.dll file to a folder on my desktop and deleted it from the X1 folder as instructed.  However, I'm not clear about renaming TTRES90 Backup.dll to its original name because the copied file doesn't contain the word backup in the file name.  I tried installing the Yellowstone mod before deleting the TTRES90.dll file, and the installer said I didn't have that file.  If you could clarify the method for me I would be grateful.

lynn..no need to delete it from the x1 folder.do this from scratch..copy that ttres90.dll.just make a copy and put it somewhere safe..just incase you need for some reason..you may not need it at all..but i think its safe to have a back up of it just in case something goes wrong(which it wont).
after you make that copy take panus mod and put it in the x1 producer folder.turn off your antivirus and run it.(the mod)in the x1 producer file(as administrator)as easy as that..only time you need to delete the ttres90.dll is when your uninstalling a mod or getting it back to nornal shipping default gui

Allow me at least few days to make this stylish enough for release... So much things to do because all my previous mods are based on darker backgrounds.

I'm sorry to make you wait but it's more complicated than I thought. I just used five hours to improve Console View alone and that's only a minor part of the program!
I may release Console View Lighthouse mod first to see what you think about it.

Lighthouse Mod Beta 1 Screen Capture for those interested in light backgrounded GUI.
Left side of the Track View is experimental - don't panic if you don't like it or if you want gradient colors separately...

Thanks for Jon Hemingway (this guy is very skillfull in graphics!) for the idea of gradient borders! Without you I would have forgotten the whole thing!

Hey Panu, I'll echo all others' thoughts with a big thank you for all your efforts on this... I'm not actually using any of them yet, as none of them quite 'click' for me, and I'm kind of stuck with the default colours, which I'm not in love with by any means but I can live with them.

I'd be very interested in just the Lighthouse Console as you mentioned above, if that's not terribly difficult. I like the look of it but I'm not as taken with the track view area.

Another question - is it possible to assemble a 'custom' mod by (say) running the Dark Side mod followed by another more restricted one, such as a hypothetical Lighthouse Console?
Just thinking out loud, not expecting you to go to great lengths over it...

It's possible already! My newest mods do not delete old mods but they just add new ones. So you can first apply Dark Side and then apply many other mods over it for further customization.
I can make a limited Lighthouse Console edition for this purpose.  Give me 10 minutes and it's online :-).
