panu for any reason if i want to try a different mod ..to uninstall-do i just simpley delete the ttsre90 dll. file and just rename the back up file-ttsre 90.dll. ? its that easy? so that file that i copyed and put in a safe place..i dont really need that unless something goes wrong(which i know it wont) sorry to ask so many questions. iim sure i will have 2 files in my producer folder..one that says ttsre 90.dll and one thats says ttsre 90 back up..so all i have to do is delete the ttsre 90 and rename the ttsre 90 back as ttsre90.? im sorry ive made this so confusing. i know the directions youve made are great..its me. thank you

Thanks John, Is this already an X1 feature? I know how to adjust the view scale (in 8.5.3) but the red section always starts at -6. Child Its the same as it was in 8.5.3.

The new .exe file that you download from panup will simply recognize your current ttsre90.dll as valid (which it is) and overwrite it, create a new backup, and you're good to go. Next panupmod.exe file you want to try, same thing, just execute and your in business. The one SURE thing is that the .exe file NEEDS to see a ttsre90.dll file or it will fail to execute.

HumbleNoise I also was wondering what transportation method you prefer when traveling intergalactically? Do you fold the space time continuum and travel using time as a destination? Or do you prefer the more standard velocity based travel method? I'm partial to folding time as it allows for such vast travel in short bursts of thought. Cosmic speed limit is problematic. As you know, shrinking factor D = √(1-(v²/c²) where v = velocity of the ship, c = light speed. It's easy to see that velocity must be insane before time slows enough for galactic flights. At speed 100 000 km/second D = √(1-(100000²/300000²) = 0.94. This means that if you travel 100 000 km/sec time slows down only about 5%. What happens if you travel at the speed of light: D = √(1-(300000²/300000²) = √(1-1) = √0. Square root of 0 can't be anything but zero! This means that if you were light you would feel like time has stopped! Unfortunately mass particles can't reach speed of light... only light can. How about faster than speed of light? OK... how much is square root of a negative value? Irrational. Does not make sense... Thus brute force can't be used. Wormholes are too unstable for daily use. Duck Ship uses fairly common method used in periphery: it just stops time around the ship. Domestic galactic and intergalactic flights can be done without consuming valuable time. You warned about beta drivers... I tried alpha drivers and that's why I'm currently stuck here. Thanks for warning but that was too late. -Panu (Speed of light is 299 792 458 m/s)

panup chuckebaby now someday you will have to tell me where that picture on your avatar came from..lol...peace I play guitar and sing in my band called Avaruusankat (in English Space Ducks). Progressive rock... Last gig photo one week ago: http://avaruusankat.com/graf/pelmu1.jpg. I like ducks. My other hobby is exploring the universe... not in too mathematical way but I try to understand M theory, dark matter, Big Bang etc. Avatar is my duck webbed foot shaped spacecraft (currently it's in orbit waiting for my return). There's a full equipped mobile studio inside the vehicle (still SONAR 8.5, I have not been there during past months). Clear? Oh? And I was thinking your avatar is a yellow submarine...

Thanks for warning but that was too late. -Panu (Speed of light is 299 792 458 m/s) I think you have hit upon the basic problem of space travel and the limiting factor that does indeed require brute force is speed. Speed is ALWAYS calculated as a function of 'time.' So as along as we try and consider travel using speed as the governing principle we go nowhere fast. So I do think that something like a wormhole is the ticket to real space travel but creating them is problematic - at least for humans and our ancient technology. Now if we had technology that could fold time and space or create portals through the continuum then we might see beyond our galaxy. I wonder how the real space travelers do it? Maybe ducks are indeed the key? Our physicists have been studying quarks for a very long time - perhaps they should be studying Quacks? Just sayin'. Oh and back on topic - I've always liked your avatar but perhaps something a little darker would work better for visibility - underwater? Maybe some iridescent blue and maybe black out the windows? Call it the Mallard mod perhaps?

HumbleNoise Maybe ducks are indeed the key? Our physicists have been studying quarks for a very long time - perhaps they should be studying Quacks? Just sayin'. Duck quacks are have one major advantage: duck's quack does not echo. Thus there's no need to use reflect filters of any kind. I use Time Stretching functions (actually shrinking) to fit long travel in one time line. Echos would cause bad artifacts and cause glitches in compressed time continuum. In destination time is stretched back to the original. Oh and back on topic - I've always liked your avatar but perhaps something a little darker would work better for visibility - underwater? Maybe some iridescent blue and maybe black out the windows? Call it the Mallard mod perhaps? I try this after I return to my ship (it's flying in the geostationary orbit 11068 km/h). Thanks for the idea. Back to the ORIGINAL topic: I have been touring last days but I'll continue making mod improvements tonight. For starters, mods will get better 'active track' foreground color in Console View. -Panu

Panup have you notice the amount of views this thread has had? Its due to you talking about space travel you know. BTW I thought it was a submarine too. Its good to know it can go under water just in case you have to land on a water world. If it is a water world can one properly say land on it?

This view amount of this thread is getting astronomical and only because we talk about space travel methods. My ship will get new Quantum Quack Motors along with the upcoming X1c update. Now I must watch the Intergalactic Space Weather Forecast. Can thread get more off-topic anymore? This thread will be moved to Coffee House...

Thank you Panu for these wonderful mods and not to mention variety to chose from!!! You've made the whole X1 experience more enjoyable. However, I don't appreciate seeing my mother in law everytime I have to use the Midi Event Filter!!! (Opening the midi filter is almost like opening that black box in Hellraiser). If there's a more pleasant/alternate background, I'd certainly appreciate using it.

My Teddy Bear Event Filter was a FAIL. I made Budapest version instead. This mod required hacking with a hex editor because text colors are hard coded in the program.
