panup These tweaks have nothing in common with SonarX1Helper's current functionality. Ben should make as much new program code as anyone who starts from scratch. Earlier today I started Sonar X1 Resource Extractor project. It's straightforward to extract data from the DLL using command line version of a free resource utiilty. Harder part is to recompile the TTSRES90.dll. I'm still working on it. Ah, cool then, that's sounds great. I just noticed your system stats. Here's mine: Sonar X1 64-bit, W7, i7 920, Asus P6T, 12 GB DDR3, RME Multiface II PCI-e

Hey Panup, whats up? I got really impressed with you bro! I have the VS 700 system and am very desapointed because the sequence of the knobs on pro channel didn´t matchs the hardware (VS 700 C). If you pay a visit to the VS 700 threads you will find all the complains... As i coul noticed, this is not a problem for you, to make this kind of change... How much time you take to put the knobs in the GUI interface in the same position of the hardwares? This going to be fun!!! If you coul spend some time investigating this thread... Please... Look for the Frankandfree posts in the first page of the thread. http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2207087 Nice to talk to you.

Hi Mauricio, Knob layout mismatch between VS 700 and ProChannel looks stupid but I'm afraid I can not help. I believe Sonar creates knobs dynamically and in order to change their position. Finding that data inside Sonar's EXE file is harder than finding a clean pair of socks in bachelor's place. Bakers could fix this in an hour if they really wanted to. I could make the fix in 100 - 100000 hours.

It does work but anything can happen when DLL files are modified this way. You have been warned.

Original 32-bit version of the TTSRES90.dll info: Patch probably requires English version of Sonar.

musicman100 I just tried applying the 32 bit patch and i receive a wrong file version error I ran patch again for a clean 32-bit TTSRES90.dll again and it worked OK. So, in THEORY it should work for you, too... - Double-check that installer was Green1 x32.exe. - Also check that file version matches with the screen capture I posted in my previous message. - And last check: Do you use English Sonar version? Other languages will probably need their own patches.

If someone gets interested in doing some own modifications to Sonar: download Restorator 2007 ( http://www.bome.com/products/restorator). I bought the full version after trying if for 15 minutes (Price: 60 Euros (approx. US$ 82)). Patches are generated using this program. With Restorator it is VERY easy to export all bitmaps etc. from the DLL. Then you can edit all PNG and BMP files with any image editor. Importing custom graphics back to the dll is as easy as exporting - absolutely no programming skills are needed, just a few mouse clicks. I have a plan of making a X1 Resource Editor but it is a complicated project and will take a lot of time - I'm not sure if I have enough time for it. With Restorator 2007 you can do your customizations immediately. Do you lose modifications when Sonar is updated? No: with Restorator it is easy to import custom graphics files to the new DLL unless Cakewalk decides to do some major changes. I'm quite sure DLL structure will stay the same: any modifications need testing and it will introduce extra work for localization. DLL is full of ancient BMP images - they don't delete anything, only add new.
