I was disappointed to learn that my request for "free bird" would not be recognized, however track templates should certainly include all of the attributes that make up the track including aux, patch points and anything else you folks add.  This should include colors by the way.....;)  If I spend an hour setting up tracks and folders with colors to be my new default recording template I would expect the colors to show up when I applied it.  (they didn't and I was saddened).

Not so much that it gets complicated, although it's the way things get all by themselves, but not the most obvious to my eyes and workflow--or rather not really problematic to me. I didn't consider how Solo functions needed such a functional update. They obviously saw something in feedback channels I missed. But hey, one less thing for me to be concerned with. I do like to see the list of bug-fixes. That's so welcome!!

Sidenote: For the Tascam, it follows suit that the next step is, adding functionality for Sonar to directly control the Tascam. That would be my plan, anyway.

We have been given 11 updates over the last 11 months and they have announced "Manchester" so would they hold it back until after everyone who bought it the 1st week it came out won't get it without joining again for another year?

Ignorance is bliss as it is said....
Lets look at it for what it is.. I buy Splat in January. PLUS I get 12 months of updates.
"As Advertised" So my 1st update is or was to be 1 month after I bought Splat and it was the end of February. So 1st update was the end of February, 2nd end of March, 3rd April, 4th May, 5th June, 6th July, 7th August, 8th September, 9th October, 10 November, 11 December SO the 12th update should be January. Yet my membership ends today with no 12 or January update.

Now the reply is, are you going to get 12 months of up updates or are you going to get 11 and say GEE that's cool! So you get to be right about being wrong because you can't count to 12... Fair is fair and if we are to get 12 updates, I would like 12 updates. but it looks like 12 is not coming...
So I asked a simple question!

Asking the question and how things look at the moment is the reality under the circumstances.

I myself could give a...  if I get 11 or 12 updates, I will drop the messily $99. just to be a member of the coolest forum on the internet!

My question would be: Are you going to get 12 months worth of updates (could be 2 or 50 if you look at it that way), or are you going to get 12 updates?
Semantics I know but I just can't quite remember the wording.

Let me clarify, you get one year of updates (or 12 months of updates). It's not 12 updates. FWIW, it could be more or less than that in a given year.

I had that understanding from the beginning, but somehow people morphed it into a monthly deal.  I think when the updates are ready, should be the schedule.  Takes the pressure off me from learning something new each month :-D

Andrew Rossa [Cakewalk]
Let me clarify, you get one year of updates (or 12 months of updates). It's not 12 updates. FWIW, it could be more or less than that in a given year.

I've actually mentioned this before. When this all started there was NEVER any mention of monthly updates/fixed release dates/total of updates that would be provided/etc.

Just that people would receive any updates release within the 12 months.

So to me that meant it could have been 3 or 6 or 8 or 42 or whatever updates happened to be baked within the 12 month subscription period.

It is the Bakers who seem to have unofficially set themselves to the task of releasing updates every month.

There was NEVER any promise or guarantee of that that I have ever seen... so really the Bakers have delivered far more updates than was promised.

I personally thought it might have been around 6-8 releases when the new model was first announced and was more than cool with that (versus the meager 2 or 3 patch updates with no new features the previous model brought).

Just sayin'... the Bakers went beyond what they said they were going to do this past year.

Cheers.
