1. Tempo resolution up to 0.001 bpm. 2. Cubase style time warp tool (i.e ability to drag barline to audio transient. Please no more pop-up windows and typing numbers). 3. Same hotkeys (S, D, E) for PRV and In-Line PRV. 4. Scale Tempo! 5. Non-linear tempo and controller curves. 6. Radius quality time/pitch stretching/shifting for real time slip stretching/transposition. 7. About dozen more FRs... OK, next time.

Marker playlist. For example, if you finish a song, but need to do short version also. Just skip some sections (markers) and save playlist(s) within the project.

Its a hack now. - Please let me change the highlight color used for pull-down menus or at least follow the windows theme setting - metronome count off option in play - Why not build something similar to plogue or Energyxt directly into Sonar for routing of midi and audio signals between plugins? - Pattern based sequencer feature similar to what we see in P5 and FL. - Global key to advance the video window one frame at a time WITHOUT having to click on the video window first. -

Left justify now time marker option. For example, when I put the now marker at a location and zoom in/out there is equal space to left and right of now marker! This is stupid cuz I only want to work with the audio to the right of the now marker. Why should the zoom worry about data in the "past" of the now marker! When I zoom in I want to see only events to the right (future) cuz I picked my now marker location to be "NOW" not "SOMEWHERE IN THE FUTURE"

ORIGINAL: planist ok, thats great - thank you. Planist, yw. Try it out ... its really an awesome feature and works great when used with Audio Snap. With the two you can really do some cool stuff to audio. Now throw Melodyne Plugin into the mix, and bam, you can mash up audio timing, tempo, and pitch.

When using loop record mode to record midi takes onto seperate layers, I would like the option, which oughta be the default if you ask me, to have previous takes become automatically muted... I want to play a 4 bar loop over and over and play my part over and over and record each take as a seperate clip so I can keep them, but each time I start a new take, mute the previous takes (preferably only mute the clip, not the whole layer). Otherwise, its almost a useless feature since in a few takes I will hear a mess of music coming out from all the takes playing at the same time.

hmm, never mind. I found out that if you have overwrite mode and say go to seperate layers, it does exactly what I wanted.

Ok, here is one. When I set the NOW cursor to the start of a bar, and hit record, I want the count-in tempo to be the tempo that is going to be used in this bar, not the tempo from the previous bar. How lame is that. There are work arounds, like I can make sure my tempo change happens at the very end of previous bar instead of the downbeat, but that is a work around I should not have to do.

ORIGINAL: planist ...wicked's list for s7 w00t! I'm really interested in what the feature set will be for v7. I skipped v6, and by the time v7 rolls around I should have enough $$ for a much-needed core2duo upgrade, so I'd be very ripe to be persuaded.

a dedicated conductor track. Right now there is kind of a hidden conductor track which holds meter and tempo changes. but I want it exposed as an actual track so that I can have layers. that way I can have different versions of tempo/meter applied to the project depending on which layer of my conductor track is active. Something like that.

Here's one, or maybe there is a way I haven't figured out yet. how to delete a bar. I can insert measures (which slides all the markers forward. but what if I need to do the reverse? This happens all the time to me.

This happens all the time to me. You can already do this by selecting the area you want deleted on the time ruler, then right-click>delete and make sure "delete hole" is ticked. It's easier if you have "measure" selected in the grid of course. P.S. make sure you untick "delete hole" next time you want to delete something as it will do this everytime.

Thanks for letting me know. I just had to do that but I did it the hard way by manually moving all my markers and meter changes back. Wish I had known. The documentation ought to point better to this. There is a dedicated command to insert time into a project, which slides markers and such to the right. Seems like if there is not an opposite direct command to do it, then the help document should at least give a pointer to HOW to do it. I was left assuming I could not.

Something like that. I subscribe to that one! And add this, which I propsed in another whish list thread (My Top 5 Wishlist Features for v7) last week, after which the thread ebbed away (why do threads always seem to die as soon as I open my mouth? should I talk to my dentist?): Recordable tempo change on the fly (applicable on midi tracks only, I presume). I still miss that feature from my old Notator for the Atari ST: making those accelerandos and ritardandos like a maestro with the mouse while the song was playing, and all data was recorded in a track. Drawing those tempo curves or writing numeric data in Sonar is a much less intuitive approach compared to this. And much less musical: it's computer programming instead of music conducting. wb NEXT! (Let’s keep the thread alive...)
