Sony Oxford (Sonnox) are currently doing a quiet beta with their x64 versions. The ones I have seem to be running flawlessly in Sonar x64 so expect an announcement imminently.

Tone 2 is expected to go x64 bit this June. They have some awesome synths and effects; Gladiator 2, Firebird+, Warmverb multieffector, etc.  I don't know for sure if all their plugins will be x64 But it was stated on their website that Gladiator will be this June, if the rest are'nt in June i don't see why they would'nt follow shortly after.

I'll keep my eyes on them and i personally am looking forward to x64 bit versions of their plugins and i hope they deliver at the estimated time.

@Chris,

Ah, so those were the ones you were speaking of?  I already knew they were working on the 64 bit version thanks to a friend of mine ;-)  I'm glad they did though cause he loves 'em.

By the way, the new plugins, Pro-Q and Pro-C, look awesome!  Thanks for the update Chris.

@Attalus,

Looking forward to hear about these :-)

Yeah, pretty much people knew they were going to, but they were kind enough to let me play with them "early" :hehe: I couldn't find a single bug however, ymmv.

When you think about allot of these supposed "small" companies going x64 really without allot of pain or fuss, it really makes me wonder why so many still have the tude "there is no benefit" thing

No problem man.  But ain't what you said the truth!  We are finally able to turn to 64 bit computing without too much pain.

There are still some stubborn ones out there, but I'm sure they won't last much longer in 32 bit land.  Just wondering how things will pan out when Windows 8 and 128 bit computing comes out in 2012 :-S

Take care!

128 bit is a long way away.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/128-bit%3C/a%3E

"128-bit processors could become prevalent when 16 exbibytes of addressable memory is no longer enough (128-bit processors would allow memory addressing for 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,456 bytes (~340.3 undecillion bytes or 281,474,976,710,656 yobibytes )). However, physical limits make such large amounts of memory currently impossible, given that amount greatly exceeds the total data stored on Earth today, which has been estimated to be around 500 exabytes.[1]"

Windows 8, will only be 64bit, though.

VOXENGO - Latency Delay 2.1x64  (Free)

http://www.voxengo.com/product/latencydelay/

A new version of the handy tool Latency Delay. Its a perfect tool that lets you compensate latency with some 32bit plugins that doesn't compensate threw Sonar Bitbridge example Steinberg Guitarist 2, EZ-drummer.

I didn't know that it is a BETA out. I have friend that use EZ-drummer. Just know that the 1.2 update didn't work with bitbridge either but the first 1.0 version do but have crazy latency offset when used with bitbridge.

IF there are a x64 BETA out (still official on the website they only support 32bit ) it will compensate for for latency so you don't need to worry about that with a x64bit version...

Just took delivery of the Adobe CS5 Master Collection today and its good to see that Premiere Pro and After Effects are both now Native 64 bit Apps. Premiere absolutely flies  with 12GIG of RAM to use. Awesome.

It's a little OT but its good news when big companies like Adobe start to see the benefit of going 64 bit.

Re:!!!!THE 64 BIT CAMPAIGN!!!! 2010/05/25 09:47:32 (permalink)
Yes but they can't add a 64bit Flash player? That sucks big-time?

The NEW Flash Player 10.1 that are out on BETA right now has a 64bit Linux Flash player already but no x64bit player on Windows or OS-X that everyone just ask and scream for?

Yes you heard right!
The iPad is the most expencive electronic picture frame on the market right now....

iPhone has no flash either because there are no x64bit version out yet...

X64bit was the new flashplayer version "Big DEAL" that will come out this summer. Everyone has spoke and hope that finally the Flash player will go x64bit so we can finally use the X64bit IExpoler or x64bit Firefox and all virus program on the market finally can realese there x64bit VIRUS program..........
but no no...... excuse the language--------> the "****ed" Adobe wont release any x64bit version. They thought that wasn't so important? They add new HD support to there stupid Flash player instead that no one on the market gives a s-h-i-t about???

So that's one of the reason why Apple drooped flash-player technology right now and building there own x64bit player for free. Hopefully that and JAVA that are in x64bit already will replace the 32bit "fault-player" instead.

Also I have heard many sites drop now Flashplayer support and start work with other application like x64bit JAVA that work with the x64bit IExplorer. They too are fed up by Adobe over the overall slow progress on x64bit and Adobe slow progress to adopted to new technology.

Jesus.. we have 12 and 24 cores computers x64bit systems but still we are only allowed to use only 1- core when we surf the INTERNET becuse of------> the "****ed" Adobe wont release any x64bit versions of there "Flash player" programs?

This story sounds like identical story but the company name called Propellerhead ...
no x64bit...wont adapt to new technology's and we see users running the other way include all 3 part manufactures that used to use REX and Rewire technology.

That is how it goes when you dig your own grave...

Best Regards
Freddie

There is 64 bit betas for both SD2 and EZDrummer. They work fin. However you can only see them in your account if you are a regestered user.

Note - if you are installing the 64 bit versions you must use the default paths and follow the installation instructions to the letter.

Oh dear!

IIRC, I'm sceared of Toontrack-64 Betas.  Any others want to validate their betas?

Not like my Melodyne - DNA horror stories I hope (like realizing it didn't do pitch control the 1st few upgrades).

(Btw, DNA - 64 seems finally more stable than Melodyne Plugin - 32.  Very much thanks to their exceeding labor of love!)

Toontrack is my next hope!

damn, there is a lot of information here!

i have been working on sonar 64 bit for 2 years now...  and at this point, i'm about to break...  my frustration with bitBridge/jBridge is driving me nuts.  i've been reading post after post after post and taken away a lot of great suggestions for making things run more smoothly on a 64 bit system (win 7 in my case).  is there a more comprehensive place i can look to obtain the information i am hoping to find?

any help would be appreciated.

cheers,

Did you try installing the 32 bit version of Sonar in this system?

This way you're able to work with those plugins that don't work reliably in the 64 bit version and use Sonar 64 when you need to access more RAM.
