Issue #2, cannot login, appears my registration history is gone.

My password never changes, details such as my address has not changed since, but my Email has changed and I have noted that in my reply... already sent Emails to support.

Also appears that there is more than "a handful." Looks like several handfuls to me.

I am suffering from 1, 2 and 3.  No e-mail in months.  No registration information in account.  Informed not entitled to upgrade.  Unable to change my account in any way to resolve the issues.

I had both 1 and 2 last night until about midnight MST. I had installed 8.0 on my new Windows7RC but had not registered it. The moment I did do that, everything worked. Not sure if that was lucky timing or if it actually mattered... but I thought you should know. I am all good now. It dowloaded (very slowly) while I slept.

ok. so now all my OLD registrations show up again.

BUT NOT my recent registration of SONAR 8. It is still missing.

Therefore, I have still not received my "free download link email", etc.

I am having a version of #3.

I was able to download the upgrade but never received a follow up e-mail with the serial number that the original e-mail referenced.

Quite possibly the WORST launch ever.

My registrations are now there (even 8.5) but no purchase history no download links.

You guys forget to check the spare when you go on road trips don't you?

Marketing [Cakewalk

Hello,

I'd like to appologize for the trouble that some of you are experiencing purchasing or accessing your SONAR 8.5 upgrade.

I wanted to post something up here to let you know that we are aware of this situation. There is a slight glitch in our database that is affecting a small percentage of users. We are working to resolve it as quickly as possible.

The known issues that people are experiencing are the following:

1. Some customers are trying to purchase the 8.5 download and are being given a message that they are not eligible for this upgrade.

2. Some customers are discovering that their purchase or registration history  is missing from our estore, even though they have previously purchased or registered products with us.  This is preventing customers from purchasing the 8.5 upgrade.

3. Some customers are reporting that they have not received an expected email with information on how to access their SONAR 8.5 upgrade.

For customers experiencing #1, I wanted to make sure that you understand that the 8.5 download is only available for SONAR 8.0 customers.  If you do not have SONAR 8.0 registered with us, you will not be able to purchase the 8.5 upgrade.   That said we are aware that some registered 8.0 customers cannot purchase the upgrade because of the glitch I reported above.

For customers reporting #3 who are eligible for the free upgrade, please be patient.  We need to send out thousands of emails and they do go out in batches, so your email may be in the queue and on its way.

Other customers reporting #3 who made a purchase, but did not receive their email yet, please try logging into your store account.  If everything happened correctly the information you need should be present there.

For anyone else I would like to propose the following.  Please respond to this thread to let us know that you are having an issue.  In your response please state which issue you have experienced.  I have seen separate posts and replies from customers in multiple threads, it will be much easier for us to resolve your issues if we could have them all posted here.

Tomorrow, during normal business hours, I will ask our customer service team to start resolving your individual situations, while we simultaneously work to resolve the database glitch.

Once again, I apologize to the handful of you who are experiencing issues.  You want to buy SONAR 8.5 on the day it's available, and we are so appreciative of your excitement and enthusiasm for what has turned out to be a great upgrade.  Please be patient with us, you have my word, that we will resolve this so that you can get your upgrade.

Sincerely,

Carl Jacobson
Vice President of Marketing

I just got hit after all of these years of not getting hit, but all of my registration codes in their database are gone...no biggie..I just popped an email off completely understanding of this and just going to drink my coke whilst they fix this glitch...

My DL stopped at 1 gig! I'm on DSL, but it still should not have stopped. What's up with the 180 minute time restriction on the DL?

I don't think i should have to pay for the DVD's - I've been a loyal customer and purchased the upgrade to 8PE during the offer period.

You should really use a download manager... any disruption between your browser and the cakewalk server can cause a download to die... Free Download Manager works pretty well:  http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm

Do we need to call in and wait on the phone queue, or will they take care of this from our post here?

Thanks Keith. I'm using Chrome, and I was under the impression that it had it's own download manager. Duhhh.

I will install the one you linked to as soon as this Sonar DL completes. I'm not really complaining - I love Sonar. I was hoping for that "Talent" plug In in the upgrade though.

I'm now seeing #2...all of my registrations are now missing. What's weird is that they were all there last night including the 8.5 update...

Just the reverse here. I didn't see any registrations last night, but they're there now.

I still don't get e-mails.

Same thing here.  No issue last night, #2 this morning.   Except the 8.5 and recent 8.0 updates are still there.  Already have my 8.5 DL, but this infrastructure instability isn't exactly reassuring.  The data have disappeared from my account after marketing acknowledged the problem.  I hope it's because they're in the process of rectifying the database.

-Ron

EDIT - I take it back!  I didn't have the time period set right in the pop down.  My apologies CW, no issue for me, and I advise anyone checking to assure they have the dropdown scoped properly.

Just tried again. Registrations are still missing but it allowed me to get all the way to the 'place order' page. Then when I hit that button it went to the 'order processing' page, appeared to work for a while, and then I got a 'Service Unavailable' in black on an otherwise empty white page. So it timed out or something.

I'm #3.

Mailed support yesterday but got no feedback.

Also my registrations show up but the field "registration code" is empty. Strange.
