I hope somewhere in there is fixes issues with general stability, lol

This one is most worrisome to me.

I find that several of the listed fixes could be counted as general stability fixes. Of course what does that even mean? Any fix made will be specific.

I about fell out of my chair when I saw that audiosnap and v-vocal are finally getting some much needed and much overdue attention! Hopefully they will finally work correctly and consistently. The snap-to fixes will be critical to my midi workflow. If the bugs get fixed, the performance is at 8.5.3 levels and they tweak the interface a bit (folder colors and more) then X1 will be the TOP DAW bar none. If you disagree, then good for you...enjoy your DAW and move on.

I do hope that Cakewalk management has learned a valuable lesson from this terrible release and never makes this mistake again.

I patiently wait for X1b and am keeping my fingers crossed that it finally delivers on the X1 potential.

what I dont see in the fix for x1b  is the Metronome. I know it's not a complete list but... whether its an small or big issue some
(this should start a fight) fix that. It (the metronome) coming on, turning off, switching outputs is just well... for lack of a better term "looks unprofessional" an inconvenience and annoying.

now on fixed list.

Even though I don't use the metronome much, I totally agree with your post. It's a basic music function, and as such should work impeccably.

Addressed in X1B. Cheers.

This is starting to get interesting.  I'm seeing some features that I was hoping for being implemented.  If all of these "fixes" pan out, this might be worth the wait.  Can't wait for March to get here.

All the best,

The issue that bugs me the most is not in this list: lasso notes in PRV, copy, then paste special to a different track -- does not work.

X1B fix list looking good 2011/02/11 21:45:17 (permalink)
While there is a ton of stuff that needs to make it onto that list at the top of ye old forum for me to want to invest the time and energy to reinstall X1 (reverted to 8.5.3), the list of X1B fixes is looking pretty good (for starters). It appears that they are really going to work here.

What I would really like to see is Cakewalk work as long as possible on this patch and fix as much as they can in a thorough way, and polish off the new features so that they are elegant to use and consistent. I'd also like to see a few key things reimplemented such as custom menus and separate snap grids before I will feel that this release is off the thin ice. What do you all think?

Keep adding to that list Cakewalk, as there is still much to fix. But its music to my eyes and I am appreciative.
