snookerc I really like most of your mods! But even though I'm a Windows programmer, I'm still not touching the DLL LOL! Too risky!! I'm imagining CW support is groaning over this thread!! Perfectly understandable, but for all the people who have so far downloaded panups mods, I don't recall seeing even a single serious problem reported here in the whole time his mods have been available.

Yes agreed. No issues at all, except aesthetic ( an odd bitmap here and there which is not totally in keeping with the new mod). The Dark Side is simply awesome! Any problems at all you can revert to glorious grey and the original DLL in seconds.

@Panup: You're really getting better better ha? :) I liked the "sonarmod.com" you placed in the console :P Few remarks: 1) The backround in the start(dark side of the moon thingy) is "pixkelized", it seems very low quiality, like it's streched or something. 2)Maybe this would sound a lil' dumb, but some of the new bitmaps are a bit faded or "greyish". I like the dark feel overall but the "tube. comp. eq" buttons in the console for example seems a bit less "lively". 3)Other than that: great work. thanks. 4)/me LOVE pink floyd. EDIT: the number indicating the volume meter in the console, are very hard to see (they blend into the track backround).

zoobooboozoo EDIT: the number indicating the volume meter in the console, are very hard to see (they blend into the track backround). Try this: Go to Preferences/Colors and set Console View Control Text and Values to white. EDIT: > 1) The backround in the start(dark side of the moon thingy) is "pixkelized", it seems very low quiality, like it's streched or something. Known issue. 1.01 changes fixes this and reverts back to the original Sonar Wallpaper with bit version info. I'll make the current wallpaper (with higher quality) available as separate download in case anyone is interested.

Run mod as Administrator. Default Sonar program folder paths examples: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR X1 Producer C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\SONAR X1 Producer (32-bit Sonar in 64-bit Windows) I hope this helps. -Panu

Panup, I am also having the same problem that wetdentist had installing your modification. This is just killing me because I really love it. I am running Sonar X1 32 bit under windows 7. Which of the 3 mod downloads applies to me? Also, is it necessary to have Sonar X1A installed first as well as the Hotfix. I copied the file to the sonar x1 folder and executed it but it did not work. I am not an expert at such things, only a musician. Thanks again for all of your work it is greatly appreciated.

X1a update is required. Installation does not work if you have the original X1 without X1a patch. Hotfix: Mods are designed for X1a without hotfix. I don't know does mod work if hotfix is installed. EDIT: Per confirmed that mods work with hotfix, too. Tnx! Also remember to run the downloaded patch with Administrator rights in the Sonar X1 Program Folder.

Hi Panup, I run X1 on my Openlabs Neko LX5 workstation. The best viewable screen resolution on it is 1024 x 768. Unfortunately, Cakewalk for some odd reason made X1 to be fully viewable on high resolution screens. I did not have this issue with Sonar 8.5. Because of this I have since been using Reaper and Presonus Studio One more and more on a regular basis instead of X1. Is is possible for you to modify X1 so it can fully fit on lower resolution screens (ie. 1024 x 768)? As it is now I cannot take full advantage of the features in the inspector or on the Control Bar since I cannot view all the options. Thanks. Summer2000

Summer2000 I an unable to make that big modifications to GUI. However, you may try Ben Staton's Sonar Plus (www.sonarplus.co.uk) which allows you to set Sonar X1 to Fullscreen Mode. You'll get more valuable pixels for the user interface. You may also remove least needed modules from the Control Bar. Smart Tool is not mandatory - it can be opened any time by keyboard shorcut (default key binding is T if I remember right). Performance module is another less mandatory one. Event Inspector is useful but it takes plenty of width. -Panu

However the huge size of the inspector is a major issue for me which I've yet to find a remedy.

Just press 'C' to show/hide it, or if you're using SONAR X1 Helper click the 'C' button. That combined with Full Screen Mode should give you enough vertical screen space for the Inspector.

Darkside is updated to 1.01. - ProChannel LowPass section 'Slope' text was missing - ProChannel Tube & Routing section horizontal lines updated - ProChannel Tube section: Tube types I and II font is now easier to read. - Console View: blue rotary knob is just a little bit dimmer now - Snap To and Snap By button yellow color updated - Default wallpaper updated. DSOM theme removed. - Default wallpaper shows now if you are using 32 or 64 bit X1. - About Box shows 32/64 bit version info, too for those using custom wallpaper. Failed experiments: - Extra large Dropout icon. - Bigger shadows for fader knobs: they are max. sized now. A single pixel more and shadows would stick in the meter area. - 800 x 800 px image to 'Track View / Active Track background'. Fail. Sonar uses quite small bitmap and it is stretched in a very special way from each corner. - Self made X1b update. Worked great but I had to delete it because it's Bakers' duty to do it. - FX bin text color change: I searched light blue color code from Sonar EXE and DLL in RGB and COLOREF format (0x00bbggrr). I replaced ALL findings with green color code. Nothing happened. I changed the actual program code, too, but Sonar started still normally. As a side effect AudioSnap started to work again. - Different bit depth for some BMPs. Fail. They must be 8 bit, 256 colors. Evolution Theory's Console View / Active Track brown-red color is an example: it should be dark but Sonar loads it incorrectly.
