The high contrast is great Panup! I put the original dll back and upgraded to X1b. moved the dll back to my safe spot and ran your patch. It looks great! You are awesome!

Panup, is there any harm is allowing the backup dll to remain in the same folder with the mod dll? I copied the backup to a usb drive but the backup is still in the folder. Should it be deleted or just left alone?
This also serves as a "bump" - for your great work!

Backup files do not make any harm. If you saw my SONAR folder you would not be worried of one or two dll backups...

what vst plugins are you thinking of?
Initial window sizes can be tweaked in Plug-in manager. It's up to every VST Plugin if they are able to scale window sizes dynamically. Plug-in Manager was easy task to do because it uses standard Windows listboxes.

Hi, Panup - Since I hate opening X1 because of its depressing, horrible look, I'm finally wanting to try out your mod.
But - There must be more information I need for installing, because it's not working.
I'm trying the new Darkside for 32 bit:
--When I click to run the .exe file, "read instructions" is grayed out.
--It says "file to be patched"--and in the window is "TTSRES90.dll." Then it says "name of the new (patched file) and it's the same, "TTSRES90.dll."
--I leave it checked where it says "create backup if the new file already exists.
--Then there's a grayed out box at the bottom, and under that it says, "Status: Enter the correct filenames and hit Start."---But I can't type in that box, but wouldn't know what to type there anyway.
--When I click Start I get the error message, "File to be patched does not exist!"
Instructions, please?

Hi, Panup - I have your more colorful X1 installed now, and I appreciate having it. In combination with Benstat's vast improvements over Cakewalk's programming, X1 is looking much more user-friendly now. The simple instruction of moving your download to the X1 folder before running the .exe file is something that could elude other people who don't wade through this very long thread - so it would be great if you could make those simple instructions visible at your site. It doesn't say anywhere at the Home page or the download page that the user needs to move the file, so I recommend that you add that info. It's rare for an app's file to be moved before using it, so people are accustomed to just clicking an .exe file from their download folder. It would be good to update the other info on your site as well, since it says there that you're not sure if you'll be allowed to keep doing the mods after X1a, but here we are at X1b, so that's an outdated concern now. Something else I still don't get is that you have tabs for all these different downloads, as if they're separate .exe files for various plug-ins in Sonar--? Not being sure about that, so far I've just installed your basic GUI-focused app. Thanks again. Randy B.
