Yeah, looks pretty cool. Historically, when does Sonar release new versions and what do we expect for an upgrade price?

Well I guess I will wait for the update. Was looking at R-mix, I can wait. I hear some really bad reviews on the r-mix stuff. Which is sad. Usually new versions come out at the end of the year around $99-$150 give or take. You never know, Maybe they will do something cool like Propellerhead did and let you name your own price. That was a big success for them. ;) Construction clip looks very nice, looks like you can choose your own options for all the colors and such. I like the colors and being able to choose them! WTG! I am sure benstat helped a lot with this! Thanks! Looks like a lot of improvements on the new stuff that was added in X1! I have almost all of these "new" features in X1. Give me the improvements.

I am hoping that this update fixes many of the problems we have in X1. It looks interesting and it gives me a reason to go with Producer. I like X1 its just the problems I have with it are massive problems to me. I may buy this update I love mixing in Sonar.

I am sure benstat helped a lot with this! Thanks! Doubtful. Propellerhead knew full well what they were doing and had to get Record/Reason duo owners (the only people who were eligible for that deal though many thought it was all Reason owners) onto Reason 6 so hopefully sell them Rack Extensions. The sales model has really changed for Propellerhead where as before it was about selling Reason updates and the occasional refill now they sell plug ins and the occasional Reason update plus an audio interface (the audio interface is great btw but does not work right with Sonar. No problems with Cubase, Live, Reason or Reaper only Sonar) so the pay what you want deal from them imo is totally different than a plain upgrade from Cakewalk. I wish they would just do like Imageline and give updates away for free its not like their software is ever bug free or ever will be. The only DAWs I ever hear about that do not have bug issues though are Reason and FL Studio. Pro Tools, Sonar and Live and apparently kings of the bugs though I do not see many bugs in live personally. Cakewalk please fix rewire in X2!!!

Sonar is the only program that gives me problems with this audio interface. I run it with Reason, Live, Cubase LE, and Reaper without a glitch what so ever. Sonar just wants to act up with it but that is only a small problem that I can live with. Right now I cannot even run X1 without getting a BSOD though that may be a ram issue I am not sure yet. I am getting a cache manager error.

Where's folders in folders? Where's true solo of drum kit pieces on a multi-out drum kit when a drum map is employed? All the other stuff is great but those are the three things I'm looking for. BTW, if R-MIX is thrown in at a $99-$149 upgrade price, I'm a (reasonably) happy camper. Not that R-Mix is my #1 priority.

It was very disencouraging to say the least but I called last week spoke with a guy named Dan who had been helping me via e-mail support (though sometimes waiting over a month to email me back) and apparently this issue will not be fixed in x1. I am definately demoing X2 first but if these issues are not fixed I am highly considering going Studio One 2 Professional with a crossgrade rather than Sonar X2 Producer Expanded which is where I will likely go if I upgrade with Cakewalk. I love the Cakewalk plug ins and have not had a single issue with those in any environment I have tried them in.
