Call me old fashioned but if I'm unhappy with the way I get treated by a company, I simply take my money elsewhere.

Apparently others like to moan about it publicly, then give the company more money and then moan some more. Guess I've always been a bit slow like that.

This thread has almost 4000 views, someone must be interested in it.
I have a morbid fascination with this sort of thread does that count as interested?

Bollocks.

Those are John's views. I know because every time I'm lurking looking at the the thread I see John viewing it (at the bottom of the page).

I didn't say the thread wasn't interesting. The thing about how advice on forums works is a potentially interesting discussion that sadly got snuffed out by all this other rubbish, despite several efforts by numerous people to get it back on track. But, you know, if a bunch of guys who are pushing pensionable age want to sit around gossiping about how Sandy stole Trudy's hair-slide during recess so isn't welcome at the sleepover any more, who am I to stop them. It's a bit low on dignity, but that's hardly new.

Well John does tell me what to think so his views may get expressed by me subconsciously. I'll reply a bit more in a minute, I just need to take instruction from John T first.

I tried to PM Bub for advice on what to say next but his inbox is full.

I'd also like to publicly say that if anyone here feels that I have ever attacked them I publicly apologise to you (all?) - I may have differing views but I can't recall 'attacking' anyone although some people consider not agreeing with every word an attack so I guess I'm guilty of that.....

I can't disagree with every word you just posted FBB.

The "(all?)" was a bit over the top though, mate.

I'd like to say that if anyone feels I've attacked them publicly, I'd welcome more feedback. Because I was actually going for a through-the-bushes, ninja-style sneak attack under cover of darkness and leaving no trail.

OMG. You mean this isn't the coffee house? I've just apologised as well, on a serious forum !! What if someone thinks I'm serious? Oh hang on I was, the apology I mean.

I'm still interested as to where I've attacked someone, 'cos that hasn't happened in a long, long, long time and I usually remember it, and I know they would.

Yeah, that reminds me, some of the bike forums I've been on. On one of them things would spill out on to 'the streets' so to speak and end up physical. Usually at track days, which isn't really funny at all. Trying to get even with someone who's miffed you on a forum at 3 figure speeds is dangerous. I know I nearly killed myself doing it. <-------- For the avoidance of doubt, the last bit of that statement was a joke.

Strange how the place is shut down now...... I guess I'd better be careful crossing the street here in France. (Hopefully that'll throw them off scent a little)

I can categorically state that Trudy HAS NEVER worn a "hair slide".  That there's a complete fabrication.  Elsewise that's a mighty fine post.

That's because you've never seen her off the school campus.   What a difference.

Yeah, but you've only seen her from afar.

I got to walk right behind her for like three blocks.

After seeing that hair slide, I can at least understand Sandy's motivations.

Hmmm...   Do her motivations include perusing the CH while snacking on becan chips?  That might be worthy of a little hair slide, to the left and to the right.
