So Bub according to you no one can post in the CH saying that the quality of posting there could be better? Is that your view? Because that was what was posted. If you see it any other way you have read into it more than was posted. That is your problem not mine.

I wonder in all the time this forum has been opened anyone has thought about the money and effort put in to it to make this forum possible? 

I wonder if it were not free if the inane postings would be so numerous? 

I wonder if the idiotic banter that is only humorous to a few would be tolerated if those doing it had to pay for every silly post. 

I don't come here much because it is rather depressing to be here any length of time for all the nonsense that permeates most every thread. Ones that might be interesting become a home of buffoonery for no purpose. All this will be on the net in perpetuity.  How sad. 

The opportunity to enlighten to have an interchange of ideas and to further our understanding is being stolen by a few that have absolutely nothing to say, none the less, say something anyway. 

An occasional funny thread with real humor would be a good thing but the constant droning of inconsequential verbiage makes this place a vacuum.

There are lots of threads in the CH that make a lot of sense to me...maybe not to you. Some even have fallen through from here, in fact. And, I am pretty sure this may end up doing the same.

I have to agree with you here.

The unfortunate thing here is that we all are in this mess, together. Regardless of how much we may say we are not we have all contributed to the general overall experience of this forum...none are innocent.

Can we not find some common ground....somewhere?

There's no talent involved in being a troll, you've either got it or you haven't. I have because I managed to become one without even trying. Perhaps that's natural talent.  Or perhaps name calling is where people go when all else is lost.

Fighting is something I try hard to avoid but I can most certainly 'look after myself' if it's required. Perhaps I could start a new sport "Troll fights". Of course I'll be the first world champion. Anyone wanna fight?

I've found that over the years I've always tried to go out of my way to help others if I can. The main reason is that when I first started out with Cakewalk's Guitar Tracks 2, the great and the good over in that forum seemed to always bend over backwards to help new posters. Nobody was belittled for their lack of knowledge, and answers always seemed to be well written and easy to understand.
 
The notion that everybody had to start sometime, and the maxim that no question is a pointless question seemed to be very much the order of the day. I've also spent hours in one-to-one realtime threads where I've been walked through some technique or concept one step at a time - in particular, Bob (RobertB) and Del ('Doc' Hollingsworth) invested a lot of time in me. In return, I hope that I've repayed that debt by answering questions and likewise spending time with new members wherever I can.
 
And one of the tangible benefits of researching an answer for others has also been that I've often learned stuff in the process. That's a win-win in my book.
