Bye John. We're done here. Go cry to Cakewalk. I have no doubt they'll side with you.

So Bub according to you no one can post in the CH saying that the quality of posting there could be better? Is that your view? Because that was what was posted. If you see it any other way you have read into it more than was posted. That is your problem not mine.

Bub Abusive?! You start a thread ****slapping an entire forum of Cakewalk users and I'm the one who's abusive?! Rolling on the floor laughing my fat ass off. Come on guys lets just let this go, John, Bub please for the love of sanity let it go. This is a major forum, of a major company and we all love this software. (hey cake were is my job ) The OP question was answered ages ago. Ok back to the Lennon quotes here is a doozy: "If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace." I am old and tired and there is enough room on this good ship Cakewalk. Bub I consider you a friend and John I have no problems with you anymore. Just STOP, please. Love Neb

Uages - March 30, 12 5:40 AM ( #1 ) Of this forum. I wonder in all the time this forum has been opened anyone has thought about the money and effort put in to it to make this forum possible? I wonder if it were not free if the inane postings would be so numerous? I wonder if the idiotic banter that is only humorous to a few would be tolerated if those doing it had to pay for every silly post. I don't come here much because it is rather depressing to be here any length of time for all the nonsense that permeates most every thread. Ones that might be interesting become a home of buffoonery for no purpose. All this will be on the net in perpetuity. How sad. The opportunity to enlighten to have an interchange of ideas and to further our understanding is being stolen by a few that have absolutely nothing to say, none the less, say something anyway. An occasional funny thread with real humor would be a good thing but the constant droning of inconsequential verbiage makes this place a vacuum. There I said it. Something I have been thinking for a very long time. Yup, that's right John. All, and I mean all, you did was say (in a simple and straightforward manner) the CH could be better... By citing buffonery, idotic banter, silly post(s), [here (i.e. the CH)] is rather depressing, nonsense that permeates, constant droning, inconsequential verbiage, opportunity...is being stolen by a few that have absolutely nothing to say. You seemed to have expressed some pretty strong words, I mean, opinions that should in no way be construed as derogatory, right?

No, it is not proof of truth. That is something else entirely. If you find that the CH is useless that is an entirely aesthetic matter that is in no way associated with The Truth..in the singular and with a capitol T. There are lots of threads in the CH that make a lot of sense to me...maybe not to you. Some even have fallen through from here, in fact. And, I am pretty sure this may end up doing the same. The unfortunate thing here is that we all are in this mess, together. Regardless of how much we may say we are not we have all contributed to the general overall experience of this forum...none are innocent. Can we not find some common ground....somewhere?

Man is this still going, the coffee house is a bit of fun and Andrew, Seth or Ryan should bump this down there, this is an international forum and look at the squable that is going on. I'm not perfect, I have contributed to the problems but I am learning, I don't think that all of us are though. As I said we all have something to offer but this thread is just another agument over who is the alpha male of the forum enough. Time for another John Lennon quote: All we are saying is give peace a chance. I think this is the most apt one at the moment. Just remember I am not judging any of you, we have all had breakdowns been silly rude arrogant whatever. All we are saying is give peace a chance. Neb

trimph1 Can we not find some common ground....somewhere? It's impossible to find common ground with someone who denies the very posts they make. People like that are abnormal and there's no way to rationalize with them. It's sad that someone would actually take time out of their life to complain about a group of guys who try to bring levity to this miserable, stinking, rotten, world. You have to have one sick, deprived, miserable, soul to stoop that low. BTW ... the CH was shut down due to extreme TOS violations years ago by a group of people who are no longer here. Well, a few are still here, but don't go down there anymore. They migrated to a different section of the Cakewalk forum's so I've been told.

Look, I've been in some rather nasty threads here as well but I don't think I recall John or the other one going as low as what you seem to imply here. I'm just a little puzzled by it all, really.

waiting for a client,as usual and need to vent- until recently my routine was walk the dogs, make coffee, check email and head to the Coffee House for a quick laugh. problem is it`s just not fun anymore-(apart from Neb`s contributions-that kept me happy for a few days-cheers mate ),so by the time you sort through the +1`s, me too`s, am`s,self promotion and animal photos coffee is finished. just saying... maybe the moderators are on vacation.that would explain why this thread hasn`t been moved from the "flagship" forum and would also explain why blatant spamming is being tolerated on the Producer forum?

Bub as I said I was not judging you orsaid u were having a breakdown, just peaceful resistance because this thread should die. And John Lennon was a very naughty boy and def not the messiha, bit like me really: Here is a great one perfect for this silliness: "As usual, there is a great woman behind every idiot" JL Just remember this is all alpha male crap, there is a lot of room of this great ship called Cake or is it Sonar, well there is a lot of room. As soon as you get sick of the Lennon quotes let me know, this can be done when this thread either is shutdown, removed to the coffee house or when it falls silent. Back on topic... I've found that over the years I've always tried to go out of my way to help others if I can. The main reason is that when I first started out with Cakewalk's Guitar Tracks 2, the great and the good over in that forum seemed to always bend over backwards to help new posters. Nobody was belittled for their lack of knowledge, and answers always seemed to be well written and easy to understand. The notion that everybody had to start sometime, and the maxim that no question is a pointless question seemed to be very much the order of the day. I've also spent hours in one-to-one realtime threads where I've been walked through some technique or concept one step at a time - in particular, Bob (RobertB) and Del ('Doc' Hollingsworth) invested a lot of time in me. In return, I hope that I've repayed that debt by answering questions and likewise spending time with new members wherever I can. And one of the tangible benefits of researching an answer for others has also been that I've often learned stuff in the process. That's a win-win in my book.
