That was actually a little bit smoother than I am. I'm not quite as sophisticated. By the time I've mentioned screensets for the 5th time in as many seconds they've usually "popped to the ladies". Must be a lot of birds in the ladies 'cos they never come back again.

Holy Cow, that just took 20 min. to read to update since my last post here, This is taking up a lot of my valuable time were I could be helping someone. But it was educational if what I was looking for was personality profiles on forum members. Thanks for your recognition of my efforts John. I didn't read the thread in question and at the risk of being toasted to death I get the feeling I would be on your side there. I just worry about some members spending to much time on ( ???) when they should be putting all that creative energy into songwriting and recording. If we delete all the off topic this would still be on page 1 and a half decent thread. I think I'm going to Grear Slutz and see if anyone needs help with their MIDI cables...:)

Its not a question of taking sides. All that does is divide us when we are here for the purpose of learning more about Sonar.

When looking through this thread I think its clear why I posted in the CH what I did. Now as in the past far too often posters have stolen threads with moronic posts.

They didn't just take it off topic they infused it with dribble. Inconsequential mutterings that add nothing to this forum or to the topic opened by the OP.

It happens often enough to be most discouraging. A bit of humor is a welcomed thing on occasion when its clever and actually funny.  It is not even in compliance to the TOS when it destroys a thread as it has this one. Yet the people that continue this practice see nothing wrong with it. Or that anyone would object to it. When someone does, they come in in force and attack that person.

It really needs to stop.  I don't know what the OP intended when he started this thread but it was a golden opportunity to have a dialog about what we as a forum could do to improve it.

I think now after one views this thread the situation will be completely understood by most.

You can't seem to stop talking about it, can you John?

Well Bapu at least it's hard to fight when people are pissing themselves laughing.

Lets run a campaign of mockery until this thread disappears.

"Dont follow the leaders, follow the parking meters"  I will keep quoting John Lennon until this thread stops.

No it's from the book Last Interveiw but hey Lennon was the biggest thief of all, so he nicked at lot of this surrealism from all over the place.

Here's a funny one that is bound to stir the pot I've just found a John Lennon quote page.

You guys understand I just don't see the point in this thread, so as Lennon devotee I am using humour and surrealism to get us to all get along the OP, got his answer long ago and now we are just running around like clowns at the circus.

This is not a jibe at anyone either, this inludes both John/Jons you have to agree when it gets to this point the only way forward is to forget it or hijack it with silliness.

John

There is only one reason people may have felt insulted. I submit that it could be because it was truthful.
I submit that they felt insulted because you actually took the time to sit down and type up a thread insulting them?
"I don't come here much because it is rather depressing to be here any length of time for all the nonsense that permeates most every thread. Ones that might be interesting become a home of buffoonery for no purpose. All this will be on the net in perpetuity.  How sad.

The opportunity to enlighten to have an interchange of ideas and to further our understanding is being stolen by a few that have absolutely nothing to say, none the less, say something anyway.

An occasional funny thread with real humor would be a good thing but the constant droning of inconsequential verbiage makes this place a vacuum.

There I said it. Something I have been thinking for a very long time.
"
I mean, that's pretty insulting John and it was a direct attack on the people in the forum you referred to as "here" (The Coffee House).

You're pathetic John, and the only reason Cakewalk puts up with you is because it's better to have a head case like you on their side than against them.

There, I said it. Something I have been thinking for a very long time.

There you go, I am the head case and you are the one calling me names.  Nice logic.
You start a thread insulting an entire forum of some of Cakewalk's most loyal customers and you're sitting here calling me out for calling you a name?

I've seen a lot of threads started by people who spouted off about Cakewalk products that were ugly, I've seen threads that started out good and turned ugly and got personal, but I've NEVER seen a thread that I can remember by a forum member personally attacking another forum member like you did, let alone an entire group of them.

If you hadn't have joined the forum 9 years ago, I'd say you're some punk ass kid getting off on trying to cause trouble with people on the internet.

You say what you have to say to make yourself feel like less of a piece of garbage ... but what you said is right there in black and white ... and you did in fact attack an entire forum of Cakewalk's most loyal customers and any inkling of respect I had for you as a contributor to this forum is completely gone now.

You're a troll and this forum is better without you than with you.
