I'm guessing you are updating from a different version than the one I pointed out for the other posters. You are upgrading from Producer or Plat, that option would give only the $30 discount. And yes, Audiodeluxe is 100% legit authorized dealer and been in business for a while.

Hey Andrew....thanks for the posts. I subscribed to Platinum Lifetime, but am still getting charged for my monthly subscription. I've writteen to Cakewalk (since apparently you can't talk to anyone anymore) with no answer. I'd like to get this resolved. Any ideas? Thanks.

:) No more monthly fees after purchasing lifetime updates I don't treat DAWs like they are religions so they are addictions. Sonar is probably my 4th choice in DAWs. I couldn't resist the 4life. They are always working on changes and letting you know with the ezine. I also support developers who prefer to spend time on their product instead of trying to lock it down.

Not sure if you can "re-upgrade" since you are already on Plat, and that is what would show in your account as current state. That is your bigger problem Would have to ask Cake about that directly. AudioDeluxe has the Plat to Lifetime for $169

Thank you for replying. Actually my account shows both X3 and Platinum as available, it's not a "surrender" licensing (as a side note, I'm always amused by the little white flag icon that the ilok tool shows for "surrendered" licenses, like melodyne after upgrade) Yes, I was referring to audiodeluxe in my calculations, the coupon code they apply is ~15% discount Anyway, I'm hoping Andrew Rossa or someone else from Cakewalk can provide some info regarding how to identify ineligible SKUs (forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3426492)

Did you renew your Platinum earlier in the year? There was a discount for Lifetime for people that had recently renewed (not simply upgraded). Not sure if it still applies though.
The test is, add Lifetime to store basket to see what it wants to charge you. Discounts are only applied at the checkout. You can do that without actually buying....

There are various places and ways to buy it now and make payments on the total purchase. Or sign up for a 0% interest credit card, etc. They have provided 3 entire months to figure out options. Not trying to belittle the financial situation, but there are options even for those that can't muster up the full amount now.
