panup Thanks Poco :) Codename 'Orfeus' mod is now available. Including - reworked Console View - green blinking MIDI activity icon in Windows Taskbar. - bug fixe (Snap By icon was accidentaly copied over Narrow Strip's Post button) - contrast added in several places. - Matrix view logo is more Matrix now. Orfeus... yeah. Download from http://www.avaruusankat.com/SonarX1a_mod/. Once again: no warranty - you know the risks... etc. This mod worked in my setup, that's all I can promise. Does your patcher use fixed offsets to locate the resources in the .dll that are to be changed or does it look for some sort of markers to ID the change locations? Stated another way, what happens when you run this against the X1b version when it comes out?

Stated another way, what happens when you run this against the X1b version when it comes out? Patcher refuses to patch anything but X1a. I make X1b patches immediately after X1b is available. Patches are generated using full version of Restorator 2007. I don't know exact details how it does patching but I have plans to make my own Sonar Resource Patcher utility. Maybe later I can write a presentation of DLL patching :-).

Just wanna give the op props on the mods ! Made revisit X1 after I dumped it and went back to 8.5. Awesome work...I can actually read the console meters against the black vs the light grey that came stock. Pro channel looks nice as well !

Bluelight mod ver 1.0 is now available for download. http://avaruusankat.com/SonarX1a_mod/ After this mod your Sonar X1 is an different animal. Note: You may have to change color preferences for some text colors. Known issues: - Mono/stereo icon rollover image is 'stereo icon' in mono mode. - There are 2-3 Console View related bitmaps I have not yet found. - FX Bin ON/OFF button is still blue. That icon is hidden deep in Sonar X1. - MIDI strips in Console View are old style. This is version 1.0 - you have been warned. Please send test reports - if mod is not working I remove it immediately and make fixes. -Panu

A1MixMan Panup, could you set up a paypal donation link on your page so I can donate something to you? Thanks, P.S. It's working great so far! I really LOVE the look! LOL, this is for you... Look at the top right corner of the page http://avaruusankat.com/SonarX1a_mod/. Btw, when I've got enough donations I buy Cakewalk. -Panu

Panu, I just want to let you know that I think your design sense is top notch. The visuals are much improved over the clumsy black and blue theme confusion that was published by Cakewalk. I think you made some very nice choices. And... you made it look easy. Booyah!

Bluelight version 1.01 is now available. Only change is applied to the Track Mono/Stereo icon. In the initial Bluelight version it was fixed to stereo. I am still learning how Sonar is constructed: there are five icons for most pushbuttons - a bit confusing... Sorry for the extremely short lifecycle of version 1. But isn't it nice to get updated, better version .

Mods are extremely cool though (I wouldn't have the foggiest of ideas where to start though)

LOVE the Blue Light Special panup! I feel bad making a request because of all your hard work and maybe others can chime in but what if you could make the MIDI faders a different color than the Audio faders in the console view? Could make them way easier to discern. Again thanks so much for the effort!! I just noticed THEY ARE different. Wondered why that looked so cool.

Do you have an old version that just changes the Pre/Post buttons? I tried the Blue Light special and it was a bit over the top for my tastes. All I want is the Pre/Post change and maybe the Stereo/Mono button.
