Is there any way of getting color customization for track headers and console strips?  I would like to see, for instance, all my guitar tracks red, vocals blue, drums green, etc. Thank-you so much for all your hard work. This is great!

I'm 98% sure this is not supported by Sonar.
Different colors for Audio, MIDI and Instrument Tracks are available but single tracks can not have customized colors.

Idea is great. Make a Feature Request!

one thing i've noticed panup, its made the preference dialog box much bigger, have to move over to other monitor to hit apply or what ever

panup, thanks for your effort.
Only have 1 monitor here and I can't  get to the bottom to apply changes.  1/2 the height or the ability to scroll would be great.

Could you send me a screen capture of the preferences window?
Looks like I have to make separate mod for smaller resolutions.

New X1a mod named Reindeer is available at my Sonar Mods page.

This one is quite simple looking compared to Orfeus, Bluelight and Evolution Theory.

Changes after Evolution Theory:
- Console View skin reverted to original. New skin coming later after research.
- Many icons and menu texts updated.
- AudioSnap window is a bit more colorful now.
- Check Matrix View's top left logo :-)
- Context menu changes - check Right-click menus in Track and Console views to insert audio/midi tracks etc. Logic: Shortcut key for Audio is always A, for MIDI M, for Track Template T.
- In Console View hotkey for 'Narrow Strip' in right-click context menu is now N. Originally N was used three times in various iNsert this and that lines.
- Preferences window is smaller. Send me feedback (possibly with a screen capture) if it does not fit in your screen.

- Several other small changes I can't remember anymore.

Special experiment in this version: Smart Tools Star color is yellow, other tools are green.

Enjoy your meal!

How can we get screen caps of some of these?  I'd love to see these elements in their native habitat.

Yes, I agree!

Audio Faders = Yellow

Midi Faders = Blue

Just my suggestion. It's really looking great. Has anyone had problems with this at all?

I agree also. It would be nice if the MIDI faders were a different colour. I have not used this latest version very much yet, but I used Orpheus and Blue Light a lot, without any problems at all. I think this latest version looks really good too. I'm going to try it for a while and see. It installed without any issues. Congrats Panup. Nice work.

Hi Panup
Been following this with interest and was about to try this mod out. However when I download the file from your link for the new blue light mod, my norton kicks it out as a threat, any one else had this?

Ignore Norton's message.
It believes that mod is doing something illegal because it does modifications to a DLL.  In this case modification is just what we want to do.

Hi Panup
I tried to do this but Norton just deletes the file before I can get to it. Even if I disable my firewall it just refuses to allow the file to be saved on download. I think there is a setting in Norton that allows you specify websites as 'allowed' so I'll try this tonight.

I have found location of Tracks, Buses and Mains fader bitmaps but not separate bitmaps for Audio and MIDI track faders.
I'll do some reserach.

Reindeer screen captures coming soon.

I have a cosy and spacious studio near Helsinki centrum. Tracking room with all band equipment always miced and ready to play, Control room (32 m2), living room, bedroom, kitchen, 3 toilets (one for rockers, one for bass players, one for ordinary people). So many nice toys for musician I never have time to go home to watch TV ;-).

I checked the original: It is blue in X1 (when pressed down).
Is yellow better?

Hi panup,
I haven't read the whole thread, but why haven't Cakewalk employed you yet?! They are mad!  One user making such significant improvements  in no time at all, where a multi-national corporation failed... (just teasing you RolCake). ;)

There's so much talent here on this board ! A great job. Best wishes to ya!
