SampleTank 3 will not be shown until NAMM in January 2014!!!  Again....they miss the mark...

IK bites the bullet again...

I'm not expecting it to be a 'game changer', just 64b with a bigger GUI.
 

Dunno if you have all been following the Drumcore 4 thread.  Its a somewhat similar situation. Old 32 bit plugins with some decent content that a lot of people have had difficulty getting to work reliably in 64 bit.
 
It looks like, after an eon, there is going to be an update early next year, They already have a presale.  Those of us who have the Kits and Midi version, Kitcore are being told to upgrade to Drumcore 3 for $99, this basically buys a bunch of audio drum loops most of us have no interest in, then fork out another $99 for the upgrade in the presale. I for one am not impressed by this deal. It will cost me $200 to use my existing content. The extra features, like audio loops I do not want and there is zero information on the new features.
 
I hope IK are a bit more sympathetic to the existing user base or I predict a riot.

Shown doesn't even necessarily mean released at NAMM. It must be close to ready anyway.

Regarding DrumCore, the appeal for those into it is that it's a chance to get audio from a who's who in the drumming world. It was a Paul Allen pet project for him to practice guitar to. I'm sure Sonoma got the software for next to nothing and basically had to rewrite the whole thing. Agree they took way too long on this.

I did like that SampleTron thing a lot ... and it gave me the usual 32bit headaches ... but still I couldn't care less about ST3 ...
 
And if I go on what I think about beloved custom shop and iToys I get OBI on my back ...

Do you have any dope to share with us about the Twitter announcement? It's OK to tell it like it is rather than hype that comes back to haunt you later. ( Of course you know you will catch some duff either way but it's just our way of saying we like you ole buddy. )
 
So will ST3 be available to Customers in 2013 or will it be early 2014, or will it be sometime in 2014?

 Dates are iffy right now during beta testing, but we are planned for the end of the 4th quarter.

If I remember correctly, there will be lots of free IK stuff for us if you miss that date

Yes you do, we have that thread book marked. But with a release day of November first planned, even if we miss it we still have the rest of 2013 to release it by 2014. ;)

While I was once was a heavy IK supporter it looks as they they have lost at least one customer.

Personally, I don't care if it ever comes out...

After 6 years, I'm certainly not going to gamble my money AGAIN that it won't
be another 6 years before ST4...not happening.  They can kiss my furry brown bahooki....

And I won't be buying into T-Racks 5, even though T-Racks is my go to Mastering plug,
or Amplitube 4, or any other IK PC based product again.  Let them make their money
on iTards...as that seems to be where their hearts and minds and focus is...
but the PC users, who BUILT the company, get shafted over and over....

Anyways, anyone who buys this needs to be psychologically evaluated, and a true JUNKIE.
After the way IK has neglected the users (myself included) of these 5 programs, that MADE
the company what it is, for all this time, you'd have to be BARKING mad to buy
this program and support this company any further, unless they sell it for $9.99, which would
still be too much, but is about what iSampleTank costs...I'd bite for that..
But, I know that most out there cannot resist a "new" product, and will buckle under
and buy it...even KNOWING that they were ***ked by IK, without the courtesy of
dinner and a movie...

But you can REST ASSURED that iSampleTank, and iAmplitube, and iThis, and iThat, will be
upgraded REGULARLY....more then REGULARLY, but the PC products will be LAST to get
ANYTHING now, as the focus is on iMania.  Don't do it...think about it SERIOUSLY...is it worth the risk
when there are LOT'S of SUPPORTED, BETTER, alternatives out there, and when you KNOW that
they will again NEGLECT this program if iMania is involved?  Nope...not to me...
 
I don't care that they went after the iDollar...I care that they did it AT THE EXPENSE 
of those of us who invested HUNDREDS, if not THOUSANDS of dollars into these 
NOW MAJORLY Legacy programs, thanks to IK's neglect.

IK better GIVE this program away it they expect to sell ANY soundbanks for the program.
But, REST ASSURED, SampleTank FREE, will no longer exist in this version...

That's all I'm sayin'...at least from my perspective.
