Ryan Munnis [Cakewalk]
Each of these things individually might seem silly to anyone even browsing this forum, especially power users, but the point being... customers have been asking us for years to present the most up-to-date information directly to them. It doesn't have to be listed in the Features & Ideas forum for it to be a real legitimate goal. It is, in fact, true that many customers reach out to us through a variety of other means and do not engage on the forum.

The forums represent a single-digit portion of the active user base. Cakewalk depends not just on requests in the F&I forum, but also the results from surveys that poll a statistically representative group of users.

Some features are added to attract new users. Drum Replacer has been a big feature in Pro Tools. It's no secret that quite a few disenchanted Pro Tools users are seeking greener pastures. SONAR can make a more convincing pitch to those people if there's a Drum Replacer. Ditto a more convincing pitch to Audition users with VocalSync.
All of these suggest that even if a request posted in the F&I forum received 100 votes, it will still be given lower priority than the popular requests that came through the other channels (incl. survey). And if that's true,
it's best to remove that 5-star rating system from the F&I forum. If the requests that are rated the highest don't get the highest priority,
what's the point of voting? The best strategy IMO is to implement both the top requests from the other channels (DR, VocalSync, etc.) AND the top requests from the F&I forum.
Now which of the top 10 requests in the ranking Adq posted got implemented?

#2 - This seems to be about bugs. So the thread should have been moved to the Problem Report forum.
#3 - This is a confirmed bug as I recently said in that very thread.
This makes me wonder if the F&I forum is really read by the Bakers. If I were a person in charge of checking the F&I forum, I would wonder "Maybe this is a bug?" and check the internal bug tracking system, then advise the original poster that it's a bug and move the thread to the Problem Report forum.
#4 - The FX Rack was introduced this year, so I assume it's not difficult to change the colors, which will be very helpful to many.
#5 - Is this the one that's coming soon? If so, that's great (although I don't really need the feature, I'm happy for other users).
#6 - As I mentioned in the very thread,
the Bakers had often been considering implementing this one. Then, why not implement it? Many users want it too.

I assume feature requests with an existing workaround are low priority. For example, one person wanted to be able to move multiple tracks in track view as one unit. Someone else pointed out you could put them in a folder and move the folder. Similarly, the request to re-order synths in the synth rack so you don't have synths with all the same name if you forget to name them. The workaround is to name them :)
It depends. If there are
tens of people who
frequently (once or more per session, for example) need to move multiple tracks from one folder into another existing folder, it should be given high priority even if a simple workaround exists. The reason why those requests that you cited are given low priority is, IMO, that they didn't receive many votes.
